1 /5 Jamila- Atiya: I scheduled an appointment for my two children to get exams and cleanings at Mint Dentistry. Leading up to the appointment, I received multiple text messages emphasizing the importance of arriving on time and informing me that I would be charged $50 per patient if I canceled within 24 hours. I respected their policies, arrived early, filled out all the necessary paperwork, checked in, and paid my $100 co-payment.
However, during the appointment, I was informed that my children would not be receiving their cleanings because they were short on hygienists. This was extremely frustrating, as I had specifically scheduled the appointment for exams and cleanings. What made the situation worse was that this information wasn’t communicated to me when I checked in. If I had known beforehand, I could have rescheduled and avoided wasting my time. Instead, I found out only after my children were already in the chair.
This lack of communication and disregard for my time is unacceptable. Respect for time should go both ways—just as they require patients to respect their policies, they should respect the time and expectations of their patients. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and would not recommend Mint Dentistry to others. One star.
