Nicole Snellgrove I needed emergency care. I was not a regular patient. My regular dentist was not taking care of my situation quickly enough. I called Dentistry at Houston Lake. My first contact (Courtney) was so very sweet, understanding AND made me an appointment the very next morning. I have been waiting for help for over a month. Oliver met me and brought me back. He was the kindest and made me feel so comfortable. Dr Jensen, just amazing. She was so sweet but also prepared to handle my situation in house without sending me several places and with no wait. Dr Jensen was clear that she wanted me to leave feeling better. And she did just that. Exam, consultation, procedure and I was in and out in less than an hour and a half. I’m a new patient !!!! Ralph Taylor Lake Joy dental care is a phenomenal dental provider. I had the absolute best experience there over other providers in the area. The staff are warm and welcoming starting with the receptionist, to my dental hygienist Christina, and doctors, I was impressed. Lake Joy Dental Care is a brand with ethical intentions. They are not going to force a bunch of unnecessary procedures on you. I have found my person dentistry service, Lake Joy Dental Care. One con though, I had to wait a very long time to get my initial appointment but now that I had my visit, it was well worth it the wait.

Sandy Durden Had to have an emergency extraction and Byron dental got me in next day. Their customer service was great from the start, starting with the first phone call. Michelle my dental technician was super funny and amazing. Dr. Ingram was fantastic and made me feel comfortable. I’d most definitely recommend this business to anyone.

Kaitlyn Meadors The place is a scam. Low quality dentist who prioritizes money over actual care. They said I had gum disease and did a scaling procedure. Continued to use the scaler on a part of my tooth not recommended and chipped the enamel on both my from lower teeth. My teeth are worse after than before I went in .I also prepaid for a surgical extraction which they then billed incorrectly using a prepaid fee of $50, a cleaning cost that should have been submitted to insurance, and $150 consult fee for showing up to the procedure so the surgery I paid for was no longer paid for. I went to another dentist who then said I have no gum disease and I fact my gums are so healthy they were hard to clean under! Scam! Run away!

Rosie G If you never read reviews, good! I never write them, but I could not let this experience go undocumented. If I could call the tooth fairy police on this place I would!!! I scheduled an appointment for a routine cleaning. My appointment was for 9am I arrived 15 min early to complete my paperwork, as I was coming as a new patient. 2 hours later, I’m being told I have gingivitis by a hygienist no less and I need a treatment before they can clean my teeth, she also proceeds to tell me she doesn’t fully support water flossing and says I should use regular floss, I tell her I use both. I ask to speak to the doctor , he proceeds to tell me that in order for me to prevent getting gingivitis again I need teeth aligners. I have been going to the dentist for as long as I’ve had teeth! I brush twice daily and floss.. my previous dentist has never mentioned I had gum disease, so I was taken aback… at this point I’m thinking maybe my former dentist was a slacker, so I go see the office manager and she runs my tally and before insurance it’s like $500, so I ask for a break down… well part of the take home treatment includes a water flosser!!! And I say, they just told me not to use a water flosser, but here you are trying to sell me one! Good thing I always ask questions otherwise I would have been suckered into the up-sale. So, I try to be polite, at this point I’m pissed because I know that if I don’t pay I won’t get my teeth cleaned and if I go to another dentist I will have to pay out of pocket because they probably won’t release my x-rays because I didn’t complete the “treatment” required for the “preventative cleaning” that’s typically covers at 100% with my plan. So we get the number down to $130 after I look everything over, fluoride is not necessary if you’re an adult! Why are they still pushing this I don’t know!! Places like these might deliver dental services to uninsured people at what they like to say is “affordable”; however, a good dentist would not let a hygienist diagnose a patient, and a good hygienist would not stab your gums to make them bleed just to up sale treatment and cosmetic services. So, after I was financially assaulted, shamed about my gums.. I begrudgingly make an appointment for my treatment & cleaning… On a good note TJ, did my X-rays, and she was very pleasant & personable. I typically dread x rays but she was very good at making it as comfortable as possible. Dr. P, he seemed knowledgeable, but he was also trying to up sale me the aligners.. so I’m not really sold on him or the aligners. Tiffany, the hygienist wanna be doctor, had a poor bedside manner, heavy handed and overbearing, somebody please remind her she’s not a doctor. Diagnosing is what doctors do not hygienist. If I could give a minus star I would!!!! But I’m seriously googling the tooth fairy’s number because they must stopped!!!

Karissa Johnson I met with Dr. Pickard, Tiffany and Rhea today. These folks are awesome. They got me right in and started tackling the issues. They had a plan for me in less than 45 min. This is the place to come!! No regrets. My dental assistant was amazing as well, TJ, she listened and was so gentle. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful as well. Tina Cox I am a CA l tongue cancer survivor. I had massive radiation which has caused a myriad of problems with my teeth. Though the front desk is nice, my pleasant experience stopped there. I had several teeth filled but the dentist took her time, leaving me for long periods of time, and when she began filling the last two teeth, my mouth was barely numb. I had to have three extractions. Because I had radiation, I had to have 40 days of hyperbaric treatment. At the end of the treatment, I was to have the extractions. This office was supposed to have found a dentist to do the extractions though they do them at their office. Four days prior to the extractions, they had NOT found me a dentist. I HAD to have the extractions the day after completing the hyperbaric treatments. The RN at the chamber called several times regarding the urgency of the situation, they still didnt find one. If I didnt find one, Id have to start the therapy over which cost me $6000. The day I was supposed to have had the extractions, they call to say they couldnt find one. I ended going to Atlanta to a dentist outside of my insurance area. $1500 I didnt have. No follow up appointment to see if the bone has died. NO FOLLOWUP AT ALL. I emailed and called to them to send the insurance they information theyd dropped the ball so I could recoup a lot of the money. No response. If you have dental problems, find someone else. I never felt that Dr. Patel cared for my condition at all.

cathy parker Everything went great. Dr. Bridges and staff made me feel comfortable and relaxed. There was no pain. I now have a new plastic tooth that looks great. Easy to care for.. I will go back to Lake Joy to get a new crown to replace it. The only thing I would change is to be able to get my crown at Dr. Bridges.

Anthony Shackelford Fantastic experience every time I have been in to see him! great staff that makes you feel welcomed and very comfortable, and he has been very straightforward,and honest about my procedures.Have had two front teeth extracted that were broken and infected, a very large bone graft done, and two implants with another graft To fix a dip in the bone. He has been mindful, and very gentle in the procedures and in my own personal experience I have had no pain after each procedure I believe as a result of his, and his staffs great work!

Kind Women The staff in the Macon location are excellent, especially the Doctor. She is very good with kids. I have a child with special needs. He dreads going to the dentist just like the majority of us. He sometimes get anxiety, and overstimulated but they are very patient, thorough and understanding towards him. They always calls after any major work to make sure my son is still doing okay. We’ve been going there for years and don’t plan on going anywhere else. Keep up the great work.

Sarah Martin I have been seeing Dr Sumrall for 40 years this fall, and I dont trust anyone else. I had insurance through my parents for 11 years, but have been self pay for the other 29 years. Dr Sumrall has ALWAYS done everything he could to help me keep the price down, but several years ago the work I needed just piled up. I had to bite the bullet and go to a clinic that utilized volunteer dentists at a STEEP discount. Unfortunately, I didnt realize that they had no interest in restoring my teeth , and only intended to pull teeth. It was stressful and excruciating, and left me with very little to work with. I made a consultation appointment, we worked up a plan, and they got me started immediately! I wish I could find a primary Dr that was even close to being as dedicated as Dr Sumrall, who really listens, and is passionate about the care he gives his patients.Tia is amazing at every role in the building,and an absolute Godsend! Leslie is also very compassionate, and makes sure she explains everything thoroughly. Everyone in the office goes above and beyond, and I am so very grateful for them! After my ordeal at the Discount Dentist Mart, I had extreme anxiety, and I had a mini-meltdown, and Dr Sumrall asked if he could pray with me on my health! I have had 10 baby teeth pulled, have had a root canal, and countless temporary crowns, fillings, etc. in his office over 40 years, and I have NEVER been afraid to go, or that it will hurt.....my anxiety came when I went somewhere else! There are not enough words for how amazing this group of people are, which is very clear after seeing 637 5 star reviews, and not ONE negative review. If youre trying to find a dentist, you will NOT find a better place to be!

Dr. Gran came in and did great with them as well. The girls were so excited and asked to go back tomorrow! Montel Collier I haven’t been here in years because my bill was put on me after high school , so I go there and they charged me $500 . Looked at my teeth and did absolutely nothing because I needed a cleaning! Why take my payment if you weren’t going to do anything and kept my money . They gave me a $250 refund but kept the rest . Please make sure they get some work done before making your payments!!! Overall I do recommend them but ask for your work first! I just wanted my money back that could’ve went towards my dentist bills!!

When I tell you I didnt feel a thing.. I mean NOT ONE THING. I was laughing because how freaked out I was but they numb you up perfectly and do their thing. Dr Koch and the Assistant (Im sorry I forgot your name) were both super nice.. I have already referred my colleague there. Shots and a filling and it was a piece of cake! Highly recommend.
