2 /5 G Bagg: I hesitated to write this review because the staff and Dr. Winchester have been nice to me. However, something very curious happened several times during my visits. Twice during dental cleanings, Dr. Winchester told me that I had a crown that may need to be replaced in the future, but that it wasnt necessary at the moment.
As soon as he left the room, the technician asked me if I wanted her to check with my insurance company to see how much they would cover for a new crown. I told her no, thank you, wondering if she had listened to Dr. Winchesters conversation.
But six months later the exact same thing happened. Dr. Winchester said there was no hurry in changing the crown, but the technician offered to call my insurance company, so I agreed to get a quote. I was planning a trip abroad and she added that with a new crown I wouldnt have to worry about any problems with my tooth while on vacation. It was so strange for a technician to push for a service that the dentist was not advising for the time being.
During the following appointment I had a different technician.
Dr. Winchester told me that sometime in the future I may want to have a small chip in my front tooth filled. I said that I would think about it, but that it didnt bother me.
WELL, the technician cleaning my teeth commented as soon as the doctor left the room that I would feel more confident when pictures are taken of me if I had the chip fixed! That really crossed the line! My mouth was wide open for the cleaning, so I didnt respond.
This is something that may happen to other clients and that Dr. Winchester needs to know about.
