    Alechia Jadwin: If I could leave no stars, I would. This company is the biggest joke Ive ever come across in my life, from the way they talk to people and respond to bad reviews because they cant or dont know how to do their jobs properly. I called this company to replace a starter on my sons truck. And I was told to send a text message, which was the first thing that kinda caught me off guard. They dont talk to you on the phone. They want everything done through text message, but needless to say. I bought and supplied the starter. After Travis came out and replaced the starter, he proceeded to tell me that it still wasnt starting and we now needed a starter Ignition switch. So I approved for the repairs to be done for the ignition switch, and Travis came back out to replace said switch but again, Travis said it still wont start. And nows hes not sure why. He stated that he followed a wire from the starter to the ignition switch, but once the wire became taped up with several other wires, he didnt want to go any further. And proceeds to leave. Leaving both the new starter and the old starter in the front seat and didnt come back to try to rectify the issue at all when I asked him when he could come back out. I kept getting told it would be a week or so before he could get back out to me. So after two weeks I told him not to worry about coming back out, I would find another mechanic to finish the job. Well it turns out that Travis Head broke the plastic wire connector on the starter to where the wire wont even stay connected to the starter. And he not only did this on the old one, but he did it on the new one as well. Along with frying nine fuses, and frying my sons ECM. So not only am I out the almost $200 for the first starter, but $460 for Travis to come out and put it on which he didnt do. And now I have to replace a $450 ECM, buy aonther starter to have put on plus 9 fuses. This company and its mechanic is a joke. They have poor communication skills, and I honestly dont believe they know anything about car repairs other than your basic skills like changing oil or changing brake pads. Not once, have they reached out and tried to offer me any kind of a refund or even any an explanation. I was left with I dont know what the problem is. And two starters sitting in my front seat and Im out over a thousand dollars after I pay for these repairs again. I dont do very many reviews, but when you have search poor work done that you pay your hard earned money for. I couldnt not warn others about this company and its shady work. If you value your vehicle, dont use them, take it somewhere that has a reputable business. Ask people, you know, for references to reputable mechanics, because this is not a reputable mechanic, unless youre having basic work done.

    _SImplyBeauty Kee: He just told me he couldn’t fix my car because I needed to go get it inspected afterwards and it might look like he did something on purpose. (sounds to me like the previous review was true, because why are you assuming something else may be wrong) . I then said “well I don’t need you to inspect it, I just need it fixed, I’ll go somewhere else to get it inspected” ( to avoid conflict of interest). He still denied me service!! This man is very discriminatory and I do not recommend!

    Ed .G.: I made an appointment for routine service (oil change and brake fluid flush and fill) on a Friday afternoon for the following Monday morning. Dropped off my car at 11:00am per my appointment. I planned to pick up the car the next day as I had some other business out of town. Received a video mid-afternoon from the service tech working on my vehicle showing my car up on the lift, explaining the condition of the parts he encountered while preforming the work, and his progress and projected completion tiime that afternoon. That was the first time I’d ever had that done at a dealership, and I found it reassuring to actually see the work in progress and hear directly from the gentleman doing the work. Very cool. Car was ready that afternoon, although I’d already made arrangements to pick it up the next day. Everything about the experience, drop off through pick up, was seamless and easy. No surprises. Very professional throughout. A very positive experience.

    Johnny Bishop: If I could give 0 stars, I would. The customer service here is absolutely trash. The short guy at the front counter was extremely rude. He told me there was nothing wrong with the car, even though I had it towed in because it wouldn’t start consistently. I tired to explain this to him, but the little guy kept interrupting me to tell me the car was working fine. I gathered my composure to keep from lowering myself to his level and left. I found a shop with great customer service and one that would listen to the problem. Turned out to be a loose wire under the fuse box. They fixed it quickly and without issue. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS SHOP!

Laidback atmosphere, they have their beautiful dog, running around the office, my kids loved it. I was in a pinch for a new vehicle, they worked with me to get me out the door with a really nice car. I 100% will go to them again, they are a rare lot in the used car market. Thanks again guys!

I was 1.5 hours into a 5.5-hour journey to help my girlfriend’s daughter move to Hilton Head, SC, when my truck had a bad coil. I pulled into their shop just 10 minutes before closing, fully expecting to be turned away. Instead, they welcomed me in, ordered the parts, and even called in favors to get them delivered quickly. Their willingness to stay late and go above and beyond to help was incredible. Thanks to them, what could have been a major setback turned into a reminder of what great service looks like. I highly recommend Athens Auto Works to anyone in need of honest, hardworking, and caring professionals. They truly saved the day for me and my family!

    Mitchell Merck: They are within walking distance of my neighborhood.two occasions I needed a repair they were not able to offer any service due to lack of manpower. Was told it would be 3weeks to even get an appointment to make a repair.i edited my review after reading the shops response. Having a dependable shop near my home is a great asset. They seem like the shop I would recommend on workmanship. Other places have similar issues unless you go to the national (overpriced and manipulative) franchises
