06-2025 Piedmont Park in Hight rate 19 location for tourist in Atlanta, GA, USAOakland Cemetery - Atlanta Val Woldman: Historic cemetery that is now a park. Lots of families and dog walkers but not too busy. Visitor Center with cute gift shop and restrooms. We booked a tour with Jihan. She gave a fantastic talk about the history, focusing on “We Shall Overcome”
LEGO® Discovery Center Atlanta - Atlanta Adam Vega: This was my familys first time going here, as we live 2.5 hours away, and it was a blast! We were able to create our own Lego figures and rode rides and created cars to race and space ships so that we could play them on the interactive big screen once theyll were scanned and really enjoyed the 4k theater etc. There was a ton to do and we spent about 2 to 3 hours in there! We didnt eat at the cafeteria in there just bc it was our first time being at that mall and wanted to try different places in the food court but plenty of people were there enjoying food. I will say, it would have been cool to have done the class with a master builder, but not having that available didnt take away from the experience at all.
Center For Puppetry Arts - Atlanta rajkk77 (rajkk77): Had a great time walking around the Center for Puppetry Arts!
The exhibits do a fantastic job of showcasing the history and artistry of puppetry. One highlight was seeing the Sesame Street section, a nostalgic and memorable experience.
It was great not having to queue, and the layout allowed for an easy, open walk through the displays.
A must visit for anyone interested in the craft or just looking for something unique to explore.
Fountain of Rings - Atlanta Md Mahmud Hasan: Very nice park besides the georgia aquarium and Coca-Cola office. If anyone goes to altanla, should visit this vibrant park. No free parking. Also, I have some homeless or outsider who want to talk and want to help to take pictures with your mobile, I didnt feel good with those kids. They actually target girls or women. Be conscious of them.
Childrens Museum of Atlanta - Atlanta Larry Ballard: Can’t really complain because the children had a great time and there were a couple of activities that kept the adults engaged as well. For the price I thought it would be bigger , and an all day thing , but despite the fact that we were done in a couple of hours , the kids had fun even though learning was involved .
Great if you have little ones .
Olympic Rings - Atlanta Alex Hall: Had a good time walking through this park despite the heat. I went on a Friday afternoon and it surprisingly wasnt crowded at all. There are bathrooms in the park and some shaded areas to relax in.
Grant Park - atlanta - Atlanta Randy Runtsch: The forest and rolling hills of Grant Park make it a good place to stroll, relax, play in a playground or visit the zoo. However, it has potential to be an ideal urban getaway, perhaps matching Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.
Here are ideas to make Grant Park a more beautiful and inviting public space:
- Remove tree brush and trim dead branches.
- Sweep paved trails of dirt and duff.
- Repair broken pavement and walls.
- Plant more flowers and flowering shrubs throughout.
- Enhance the grounds with fountains and sculptures.
Although a restroom was not welcoming from the outside, it was clean inside.
Grant Park is a beautiful asset for Atlanta’s residents and visitors to enjoy. But with modest investments in time and labor, it could become an idyllic public oasis.
Tiny Doors ATL - Atlanta Anita Beyer: What an amazing event to go on the Tiny Door tour!! I have always loved seeing the tiny doors in the unexpected places all over the Beltline! Favorite part is hearing from the artist herself, tell her story!! We even created tiny doors for my neighbors when I visited the Tiny Door Shop a couple years ago, photo attached. Thank you for all that you do!!
Underground Atlanta - Atlanta Kelly Putz: Attending a concert at Masquerade Heaven with my teen daughter and her friends.
TICKET TIMES ARE NOT WHEN THE CONCERT STARTS!!!
Thats when the doors open. We arrived at 4:30 for a 7:00 ticket time and walked around a DEAD downtown area until we decided to go back to the garage and sit in our car so wed have air conditioning. There are NO BATHROOMS on site, except inside the concert venue and nearby restaurants will not let you utilize theirs without buying something. The "shopping area" of Underground is all closed until after concerts are over.
However, we felt completely safe walking around and concertgoers (Crane Wives concert) were all very friendly and courteous. Security staff is also friendly and courteous.
Swan House at Atlanta History Center - Atlanta Elizabeth Graycheck: As an Atlanta Wedding Photographer I have the privilege of spending time in dozens of beautiful venues, and Atlanta History Centers Swan House is my absolute favorite. From engagement sessions to weddings, from fall through summer, the grounds are absolutely stunning and make for the perfect backdrop for elegant affairs and fine art portraiture. If I were getting married it would hands down be my top venue, and it will be yours too if you are lucky enough to experience the breathtaking grounds & beautiful historic architecture in person. Highly sought after and worthy of all the nationally-recognized prestige. Trust me, nothing compares. She is the best of the best and is without a doubt the most beautiful, iconic wedding venue in the nation!
