1 /5 Mike McDowell: Had transmission rebuilt in March last year with 90 day warranty, it went out in November past warranty. So he had it rebuilt again in November for a "discount" bc he wanted to "help me out" but did not provide invoice or paperwork. When I got truck back the second time the transmission was knocking and leaking fluid. I told him I did not want to accept it in that condition. He then persuaded me to drive it as is, shook my hand and told me he would "work with me" if it messed up. Well not even 2 and a half months later my transmission goes out a second time. I had it towed there and asked about 90 day warranty, he then told me that it was a 30 day warranty bc he gave me a "discount" which makes no sense bc it was the same service i had in march. I asked him for invoice or receipt from November, he then told me he would not provide that. He hung up on me and called back then proceeded to cuss at me and be disrespectful on the phone telling me to come get my truck when i simply asked him about the job that was done. So then I came to get my truck towed out of his yard, he stayed in his house and sent his wife outside to tell me hes "laying down" and that she "cant get him up". My experience here was very unprofessional as he is a "backyard" mechanic who doesnt seem to know what hes doing as far as transmission work. I came here bc of all the good reviews online but he got $3,000 out of me in less than a year and I still have no working transmission. This was a nightmare for me and it was bad business in my opinion.
