I will be driving almost an hour one way from now on based on the quality of service received. I am incredibly happy and impressed with the results, 2500 miles later.
The team at Metter Ford are all absolutely fantastic, but I will now forever recommend the service department here. I have a 2018 F150 (with the coyote engine) that I brought for an oil change and an all around brake service before an extended work trip. Scheduling the service in advance was quick and easy.
The morning I was scheduled to go in for service (after lunch), my truck popped a funky code that has been giving me problems off and on for MONTHS with no permanent resolution. I called my service advisor, Steven, who told me to go ahead and bring it in (almost 5 hours ahead of schedule!) and they would do some diagnostics and try to find the source.
I had some urgent work items that I needed to get out to my boss, and Steven and Rebecca were kind enough to set me up at an empty desk (another win for customer service), and the service team got to work on both diagnostics and my scheduled service. With some sleuthing and excellent diagnostics, the mechanic found that the water pump was failing and causing an excessive oil consumption issue, and that was causing the code that I’ve spent more than a few hundred dollars trying to resolve. The price for the water pump replacement and required coolant flush was extremely fair, especially for master certified mechanics. Steven and the team understood that I was leaving for a multi-day conference, and squeezed the replacement in AND still got me out of the dealership 2 hours earlier than expected.
The truck hasn’t run this well in over two years, and my local dealer’s service dept admitted that they had missed the water pump through multiple service appointments. The coyote engine has a known excessive oil consumption issue, & they never looked deeper than that, despite the multitude of issues that I have had over the last year. One single service with Metter Ford and they correctly identified the cause, and all of the performance problems have disappeared.
Even though it’s almost an hour away, I’ll be returning to Metter Ford Service and I will be purchasing my next truck from them when it’s time as well.
