Sydnie Seckinger If you need a part replacement or install, this might be your guy. If you need a knowledgeable mechanic to solve a real problem, Id save your money and go elsewhere. We brought in our 2014 Accord last year for a check engine light. We had already replaced the O2 Sensors that were causing the code. He insisted that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced, an $800 part, and the O2 sensors needed to be replaced again, even though they were brand new. We did the work as the shop had good reviews and was recommended. Took the car home and the light came back on the next day. Took the car back, the wife greeted me with a "what did you do to it?" and kept insisting that the car had not been maintained well and that was now the issue. I get it fully serviced and inspected every 5,000 miles, so that was certainly not the case. We left the car there for 3 weeks and he never found the issue with it or was able to fix it. Just kept recommending that we keep replacing this part and that part. Emissions rolls around again, so we tried a new mechanic, specializing in Japanese imports. Turns out it just needed a software update. We paid this business over $1200 and I really do not appreciate any mechanic who will take advantage of paying customers. If you dont know what the issue is, own it and send us down the road instead of wasting everyones time and my money. EDITED TO REPLY: The check engine light, with the *same code* as before was still on AFTER the “repairs” were made. Which is why it was brought back in the first place. The light has been on since. We picked up our car because you had it for a month and the light was still on. We brought it in to fix the check engine light. It was not fixed. You didn’t charge for a diagnostic because you couldn’t diagnose it. Period. End of story.

Mr. Happy Matt was really great, my pressure washer wasn’t starting and I thought it was one thing, but he knew it was something else and got it fixed right away. I’m glad I didn’t waste my time and money fiddling with it.

Emma Dangar Definitely knows his trade. I needed a spring installed on my grandson zero turn cub cadet mower. He had it replaced, up and running within a day of receiving the spring. Good Christian man. Reasonable in price and came to my house to make the repair. Thank you Mathew

Stacy Morris I have used Carter’s for well over 10 years now. He has always done exceptional work and has always taken care of me. The last time he serviced my vehicle, the caliper we bought failed. I was super angry thinking I would have to pay full price for a problem he had just fixed. Carter assured me the part was covered under warranty and even replaced the part for me at no extra cost to me. As a single mother this helped me tremendously. He is definitely an amazing mechanic and very respectful. Thank you Carter!

Brenda Word No customer service! Went to garage and asked a good time to bring in and wait for tune-up. Was told to be there the next week 1st thing. They opened after 9:00 AM and was then told "had lots of cars dropped off the day before, would be 3-4 hours wait" so dont bother making arrangements - they dont honor their word!

Michelle Westgate Save yourself time & aggravation, DONT take your car here! I bought a used Toyota Avalon & was told the upper control arm needed to be replaced. When my husband dropped it off they said give them 2 days theyd call w/quote. They never called, we had to keep calling. Almost a wk later we were told they thought it might be a bolt. So they were ordering the bolt 1st so itd save us money. Almost another wk later. Us calling them again, they told us it was the upper control arm. And itd be a $3500 job but unfortunately a job they were unable to do there. Then charged me $230 for the bolt and labor and diagnosing the problem (when we already told them the problem when we dropped it off. If they knew they didnt do front end work when we dropped it off, why did they accept it...I ended up towing it to another mechanic who fixed it for $275. They got some kind of scam going on here ...

Nickie Brimer The guy who runs this place is very rude and will charge you for things you don’t need,when asked to see proof of what he actually did to your vehicle he will tell you no and to never come back…apparently he doesn’t like having customers and DOES’NT DESERVE ANY CUSTOMERS NOR THEIR MONEY!!!! DO NOT GO HERE GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE!!!!

Christian Tyler Owner treated me awfully at a store. Claimed I was stealing his card info. Acted completely childish to someone who is 23 years old. I’d like to see more maturity before I trusted this guy with my car.

doug ritter Horrid. Took my car in because it kept dying on me WHILE driving. They replaced the alternator. The car kept dying on my, on the interstate while driving 70 mph. I took it back and they tightened things and said they fixed it. Guess what, it did it again and I took it to another shop. They showed me where the alternator had been JB welded together and would not hold. I called RW General and told them what was going on and that someone had put a welded alternator on my car. I was told basically there was nothing they could do because they did the work. Thats fine. Be ready to see a big Digital Mobile Billboard running around Douglasville with a picture of how the alternator the put in my car looks and how ones supposed to look. Absolute joke of a shop. And Ive done business with them before. Never take your car here. You may end up dead.

Tammy Grover Save your self some time by just taking your vehicle elsewhere maybe I should have read the reviews before or turned around when I seem two unhappy customers upon arriving. I had my jeep serviced for two brakes and two rotors one caliper I was charged for 5 brake rotors took it back and Roland corrected it 1 week later there’s smoke and bad smells I go back again it was blamed on the part replaced the part free of charge I leave two days later steering wheel start shaking uncontrollably all lug nuts stripped /damaged hub cap came off which cost more to repair. not sure if they are incompetent in their work or what when I called I was told to bring back again for wheel blanching save your self some time and seek service elsewhere the quality of work is trash here. All of this happend in the matter of two weeks safe to say I went elsewhere to have things fixed that this shop messed up

Sewell Robert (Austin) Great body work on my 2006 Dodge Stratus. After my sons little "fender bender," we did not think the car was salvageable. My trusted mechanic referred me to Autotech. After they inspected the car, they gave me a great quote. Ive used other major brands (Maaco/Abra) but they were expensive (especially when paying out-of-pocket). Autotech Collision was flexible and there pricing was MUCH cheaper than the competition (nearly 30% cheaper). The quality of work was phenomenal. At a glance, most of the bad reviews seem to be related to towing. While I cant speak to the towing rating, the quality of auto-body work is 5 Star. I would highly recommended Autotech Collison to anyone in need of auto-body work !

Keith Bolton It is not the prettiest place, but they do very good work, and the prices arent outrageous. I always go to them for all my body work and painting needs.

Liwayway Robinson Page Excellent service for bargain prices... Dan-o is such a sweet guy! Heart of gold... One of the VERY FEW mechanics that will NOT try to take advantage of his customers. He tells it to you like it is. Doesnt tack on a bunch of BS to overcharge you for and doesnt need to. Hes so well known and has such a good reputation that he stays swamped with work. Regardless of what the repair is, hes the first mechanic I go to for ANY service or repairs.

Be advised that you will have to wait if you do not have an appointment due to the high demand for services. Dano the owner is educated and skilled. He will let you know right away what the problem is, how much it will cost and how long it will take. Great service.

Larry Green Godsend! Went to several places for my AC(blowing fuses, not working at all) Had me stomped, and I am a journeyman, mechanically inclined. I totally explained to them the symptoms as well as different events of it blowing fuses. Most places told me I needed to leave my car with them for days, and they had to diagnose and then see what the problem was. I just rode up to this garage and just happened to speak to the owner and explained things to him. He took a quick look and tested things and told me exactly the problem and about the cost. A whole lot less than anticipated and was fixed the same day. I had another vehicle, and he came by quickly to diagnose the problem as if it were second nature. Now, both are running fine, and I am forever grateful. Awesome people and their ability to make things very understandable.

Sonya Preston When you try to give a small business a chance it doesn’t always work out . This by far was the worse experience! I had an insurance claim as well as a separate work order for my car . The owner lied about being a certified Mercedes tech . He also lied about diagnosing my car . Basically made up things wrong with my car so get money out of myself and my insurance company. He gives out hand written incomplete invoices . You will only have a list of items without a price then will total it up on invoice as one flat price not knowing how much or what the cost or charge was . I left the same day after repair a hose flew off ! He came out to out the hose on wrong again ! The next day car broke down again ran hot ! I paid out 2,400 just to be stranded !!! But , small claims court will be assisting me in this matter along with my insurance. Please beware do not take your car there !!

Robinson Jerome “Mr. Jay” Today I had the oil changed in my wifes car. I got full synthetic oil which should have cost me 57 dollars plus tax. I chose them because of the price. I was changed 67 plus tax. The website clearly stated 57. They were so fast and professional and friendly l didnt complain. The website should be updated. I would return due to the vacuums and free car wash. Very clean and organized shop. Walmart is cheaper but highway 5 had me in and out in 10 minutes. 5 star service, 4 stars for bad pricing information.

DeAjah Robinson I’ve been coming to Hwy 5 Car Care for a few years now for oil changes. The staff is friendly and always take care of me. I don’t ever have any complaints. Today I was serviced by a gentleman named Eric and when I tell you Eric got me in and out! Very knowledgeable young man and gave me insights on different things when it came to my Jeep. I was surprised when he told me had been there for years and it was my first time ever seeing him. He should be upstairs servicing and interacting with the customers. Shoutout to Eric keep doing your thing!!!

Kiyana Collins He has good customer service but the skills are not up to par. Just wanted to leave a review to help someone else out. I wasted my time and money with this guy. My car was not fixed it was actually worse. Also every time we were scheduled to meet if would be after hours dark. Was supposed get my car fixed at noon and I waited until 10 pm that night he never showed up and claimed he was still coming after 10 pm. Who in the hell is going to be up past midnight waiting to get a car fixed I have children smh. Ended up taking my car else where to get the job done RIGHT!! Please do not waste your time he clearly takes this as a joke. You’ve been warned. NEVER AGAIN, LESSON LEARNED.

Blake Amos I brought my vehicle here to replace my brake pads and rotors. The parts were replaced. Within the next hour my tire pressure sensor began to fault and not display any numbers. I returned to this location and the technician replied “you want us to pay for something that happened with your car just because we worked on it?.” I am not a mechanic, nor did I request them to “pay” for anything. However I was just hoping that they would be able to rectify the issue since the obvious cause was the repair work. No accountability whatsoever. And I have an out of state commute approaching, but I guess after spending almost $800, once they have your money, it’s out of their hands. I will not be replacing my back brakes with this location. Go to a different location for services. God forbid they make a mistake. Update July 2025: Now none of them read.

A M Put a motor in my truck and it was 100% good to go. No issues at all. Runs perfect. A couple years later still no issues at all. Never had to take it back or ask about anything after the repair.

Tye Overcharged on my auto work. Tells you one thing is wrong with your car and once he takes the car apart he tells you it needs something else in order for the issue to be fixed increasing the price way more $$$$. Please Beware. Please check out other quotes in the area before getting your car fixed here. I called around after my car was fixed and found out I was quoted $600 more with Mark at Collins Auto shop after my car had already been taking apart. Slick at the mouth con artist. Wants you to feel sad for him by giving you a sad life story about his shop burning down and personal life, and turns around and con people. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND!!!!
