Regina S: We came here on our trip to Savannah and LOVED the museum. Our tour guide Jan was amazing! He gave one of the best tours ever. He was informative and funny! Highly recommend if you want to see a unique piece of Savannah history and see some cool trains. We came here on a Tuesday and got tickets right away. The place wasn’t crowded at all! As a heads up: the place is very spread out so be ready to do some walking. I’d wear comfy walking shoes, a hat, and bring a bottle of water.

Abigayle Waterson: This museum is such a unique stop in Savannah. We loved learning about the architecture of the home and the history of Savannah. The models were incredible and all of the historical artifacts were so interesting. Highly recommend stopping in!

Edie Sinclair: I visited 11/15/24 and thought the tour was just excellent. The structure of the tour is very thoughtful and our guide did a really great job of both sharing information and engaging with us. I cant remember her name, but she took all of our questions with patience. The gift shop is nice and has many historical books for sale if you feel inspired by the tour to keep learning!

Parker Smith: We visited this haunted house while on a ghost tour! The staff was very knowledgeable of the history of the location as well as the artifacts inside. As a former Girl Scout it was bittersweet to visit not only the Juliette Gordon Lowes House but to also visit and see the house and very room she passed in. There is a lot of history, and spirited presence in this house!

Wolfgang Gruener: Must, must, must. Most significant tour in Savannah. Tickets are $30, but include two other places, not quite as spectacular. Deep look into the history of one of Savannahs mot important houses. Great guides!
    Savannah Childrens Museum - Savannah

Courtney Gfroerer: This place is incredible. It is definitely different than any other children’s museum we’ve been to, but in a good way. It’s all outdoors. There is a walk from parking but you get to see the trains without having to pay train museum admission (which was sufficient for my toddler lol). When we visited, there was a water table, sand kitchen and garden that my kiddos particularly loved. We stayed around 2 hours and basically had to drag my kid out - he would have stayed in the sand kitchen forever. It is smaller and I think geared more towards younger kids, but if that what you have then they’ll LOVE it. I could see us coming back again if we were in the area. It was only April and warm - I am sure it gets HOT in the summer as there is minimal shade and it’s all outdoors. Bring your own water bottles - there are vending machines but they were sold out of all drinks when we went and they do have fountains to fill bottles.

Tim levasseur: Outstanding. The city is easily navigated through streets of historic homes, parks, and hundreds of shops and restaurants featuring cultural and regional fare. Well Worth the trip to walk the city or buy a “hop on-hop off” trolley ticket!

Natalie: Fun tourist area, many restaurants and bars to choose from. The area is full of souvenir shops. Nice walk along the water. Lots of steep old stairs to navigate and the streets are brick and cobblestone so choose footwear wisely.
    Chippewa Square -
    Chippewa Square
Julie ZL: Chippewa Square is a charming spot in Savannah, easily recognizable for its connection to Forrest Gump. While the iconic bench from the movie isnt here (its housed in the Savannah History Museum), the square itself is lovely and worth a visit. Its a perfect place to sit, relax under the oaks, and soak in the Savannah atmosphere, imagining Forrest waiting for his bus. A cute piece of cinematic history in a beautiful setting.
