Chippewa Square - (GA)

5 /5 Julie ZL: Chippewa Square is a charming spot in Savannah, easily recognizable for its connection to Forrest Gump. While the iconic bench from the movie isnt here (its housed in the Savannah History Museum), the square itself is lovely and worth a visit. Its a perfect place to sit, relax under the oaks, and soak in the Savannah atmosphere, imagining Forrest waiting for his bus. A cute piece of cinematic history in a beautiful setting.

4 /5 Jeremiah Kamerer: Each of the squares in Savannah are unique. This one is no different, and happens to be the back drop from the famous scene in Forest Gump. There did not appear to be any visible signs of the actual bench in the scene but can visualize it along the street, looking at the backside of the statue in the middle of the park.

4 /5 Tejas Vispute: A beautiful and historic square in the heart of Savannah! The oak trees draped in Spanish moss create a picturesque setting, and the statue of General Oglethorpe adds to the charm. It’s a great spot to relax, take photos, or soak in the history. The only downside is that it can get quite crowded, especially with tourists looking for the Forrest Gump bench (which is no longer here). Parking in the area can also be tricky. Overall, a must-visit spot when exploring Savannah, but best enjoyed early in the morning or during off-peak hours!

5 /5 Nick Wolk: Chippewa Square. What can I say about this place? It sure does have a lot of trees and a beautiful park bench. Many people pass through here every day and it is crowded at sometimes. I’ve brought my dogs here, and when I do there are other dogs here. I would go here again and you should too.
