5 /5 George Farah: A really cool historical fort to visit on the Georgia coast! Highly worth stopping by. If you like history and nature you will love this fort.

5 /5 Rebecca Kreais: This was a pretty cool stop on our Savannah trip. We like to check out historical places in general. This one actually sets off a canon at certain times of the day for spectators to watch. Though we weren’t there on a tour the woman who was dressed in period clothing and was cleaning up toward the end of the day asked if we had any questions and answered all of them. Nice staff all around.

5 /5 Steve Roberts: Definitely worth visiting this old fort near the Savannah port. We most enjoyed the musket demonstration where the soldier explained how the guns, bullets, and bayonets were used in battles and skirmishes. His demonstration of how to quickly load and fire 3 rounds in about 1 minute was wonderful. We enjoyed the artifacts and displays along with walking around and exploring the fort. There’s a small fee to get in but well worth it. History buffs will love this place! Not a history buff? This fort is a great place to learn about why the US built forts in post-revolution history and the role they served through the late 1800s.

4 /5 Ktol 11: A fun history lesson. Plenty of demonstrations of arms to satisfy the child in all of us. A great place to bring the kids. Our guide/ reenactor was phenomenal.

5 /5 Bryan W: A really well curated fort with more interesting history to explore. This state-owned fort is definitely worth the visit. We self toured but saw some others getting guided tours. We did spend some time with a very friendly and super knowledgeable female employee that gave us a great presentation and answered a ton of questions. Its located on the Savannah River in a beautiful scenic location. I actually enjoyed this fort more than nearby Fort Pulaski.
