Nomad Travler: This is a GREAT MUSEUM. Lots of information and some really cool artifacts. My favorite was the barber chair and the beauty chair and hair dryer. I would have liked to have seen maybe some sort of family tree on the founder. My only suggestion may be a little bit more Condi and less Bill Cosby Michael Jackson and OJ Simpson.

Roseann McPhaul: To see this giant live oak tree knowing it is over 300 years old, is quite awe-inspiring. Just imagine all the tree could tell us if it could speak. It’s a perfect place to share a history lesson with you family or guests. It’s a beautiful tree. There is no cost, it’s easy to get to and there is street parking right by it.

Greg Kimball: I recently visited the Thomasville History Center at 725 N Dawson St, in Thomasville, GA. I highly recommend taking a self guided tour of the History Center. The exhibits discuss the history of the area including tourism, and the businesses and how history has impacted the area. There are numerous period buildings on the property including a bowling ball land. Its worth the trip.

Courtney Peterson: This museum deserves 6 stars for their dedication to the preservation of railroading history. We enioyed our visit looking at the historical elements, railcars and talking with the volunteers. This museum is free to the public. Be sure you visit the adjoining veterans museum as well!

Emily Pierce: We really enjoyed this stop on our road trip! 8 minutes off of 75 and we got gas before we got back on. It’s a perfect “get out, stretch your legs and burn off some energy” spot. The tree is so pretty but not everyone cleans up after themselves. There are some paths inside where you can walk through the branches. The spot really has a lot of potential.
