2 /5 Mauldin Tyler: Worst closing experience I’ve had out of 6 closings. To start with they kept asking the buyer to provide items for their VA loan that was not asked of me for mine. They were not concerned about delaying the closing or possibly ruining the deal for items that were not needed and would only add more to the cost and take longer. They eventually caved on them once I provided support my lien holder didn’t require them. One of the delays occurred at the end of the day 2 business days before our set closing date even after clearing it to close knowing I had a long drive and had to take time off work to complete this. They then rescheduled the closing for later in the week. They waited until after I signed to tell me the buyer hadn’t been scheduled to sign yet but my agent said they signed 2 days before me. I left closing all confused and empty handed for the first time ever. The attorney did not know what was going on clearly and said once she received the paperwork she would update me. They then said at the end of the day they released the wire for payment to be sent. After that I was then told the buyer mailed his paperwork in but sent copies instead of originals so I would have to wait until Monday to finalize closing after driving all the way from Fl to GA to complete this. Even after being told they released the payment to me I was told never mind they’ll have to wait until Monday to get the owner to send in the original copies. All this confusion and stress just for the funds to drop at midnight anyways and we didn’t have to wait until Monday. 2 stars is because everything worked out eventually, the receptionist was nice and office was clean. They made this more stressful and complicated for no reason. I would not use again if I had the choice.
