5 /5 Laurin Coleman: I’m a distant family friend of Ms. Jay & it just so happened she was in my courtroom helping out another client this particular day. I wasn’t educated on what I was truly facing in court. I thought I could just pay my fine and walk out scot-free. I was beginning to get extremely nervous when I saw others actually going to jail, having their license suspended, and paying up to $2,000 in fines. When I saw and spoke with her, it was like an instant breath of fresh air. She let me know what my options were & it wasn’t looking good for me at all. I was looking at either having my license suspended or paying a $740 speeding ticket. I hadn’t spoken to Ms.Jay about this previously, but when she saw me in that courtroom, she immediately got to business. She advocated for me and explained everything to me perfectly. She and the judge seemed to connect, and I don’t know what she said to him, but I ended up walking out of the courtroom not having to pay anything that day. I was tasked with an assignment of a reflective essay. That to me was better than any of the prior options I had been given, and I couldn’t have done it without Ms.Jay I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone facing any legal issues! She truly cares and she’s always about business.
