Frieren I came in last Friday to get the thermal reconditioning treatment. I was told that because the color on my hair was pretty damaged that I would have to get a pixie because it would fall off during the process. I didn’t mind her cutting it as she needed. She did a decent chop and i still had length. There was another stylist that complimented that I looked like a model. I was pretty happy that I still had some length. I was happy with the overall experience until I had to get another wash for the second step. After she washed my hair she just kept cutting more and more of my hair off. My hair was a lot healthier when she did the chop. I’m not sure why she cut even more hair off. She didn’t communicate with me to see if it was okay to cut anymore hair. I was upset that she just cut more of my hair off. The receptionist came over to tell the stylist that she had to close me out soon since they were about to close. The stylist started rushing my service. She kept cutting more here and there but ultimately butchered the back of my hair and didn’t completely flat iron my hair. She only did little sections here and there just to get me out the door before 8. My appointment was booked for 4:15 but the service was 4 hours. It was cut short so they could get me out at 8pm. I’m still highly upset with my hair and had to get another stylist to fix the back and sides. It was definitely not worth $515 plus a tip.

Lorena Vasquez-Inzunza Oh my gosh! I couldn’t rave enough about Junko Hair Studio (JHS)! I appreciated NYKERIA walking me through each step and ensuring my comfort along the way. Her artistry with my first ever perm, absolutely, exceeded my expectations. Thank you Ms. Nykeria, if I am ever in Atlanta again, I will be booking with again in a heart beat. Everyone should have a hair stylist like Nykeria and the entire JHS team!

Tess Johnson Nykeria gave me a spiral perm and I left so happy :):) you can tell shes experienced and knows what shes doing, the moment I met her I feel confident she was going to do a great job. She was honest about my dead ends, asked me questions and checked in with me throughout, I was always comfortable. Im just passing through Atlanta quickly and I dont think I could have had a better stylist do my hair. I naturally have bone straight blonde hair and it was time (its been time) for a change. In the end, the perm, haircut, tip, like 3-4 hours of hard work, and the mousse she suggested came out to around $375... you know you gotta splurge sometimes :) no regrets. Next time I think Ill go for tighter curls but this is already a big change for me

Jodi Portolano Zac was so wonderful with explaining to me step-by-step what he was doing for my hair and helping me understand how I can achieve the look on my own as well. He is friendly, outgoing, and very knowledgeable! I would recommend him to all my friends and family. I love my new hair!!

Anna Nowak Jailyn is the most incredibly talented stylist I’ve ever met! It’s always hard for me to explain what I want with my hair and she completely understood everything I was trying to say in my initial Consultation. She’s done my hair 3 times now and she just keeps getting better and better!! I have never been happier with my hair and I will forever recommend her to anyone and everyone!! Also, her head massages will transport you to another dimension.

Kimberly Viruet Discovering this salon was the most traumatic beauty event of my lifetime. I did the QiQi hair treatment which is similar to a keratin treatment. I was told at most any breakage etc would be similar to having blonde which I was very use to and I was ok with that. However this was not the case. My hair use to long (butt length) heathy, luxurious and my greatest feature. Now my hair is shoulder length, literally from it falling out. It looks like it’s been chewed off & fried in a fire. No matter how many trims I have, it relentlessly breaks and I will have to grow an entire head of hair. The treatment was July ‘23 and I am still suffering so much with deep deep saddness. Realistically it will be 5 years before I get my hair back. I tried getting through to Lisa soo many times and was blocked by Karnie. And my stylist Jailyn would not allow me either. They keep Lisa very protected and won’t even let her know how destructive her products are. I was gaslit by them both and told it was probably the way I care for my hair! I’ve been in a depression ever since I had the deeply unfortunate experience of ever finding this salon. I’ve held off my review for a long time because I just wanted to block it from my memory, but it’s impossible because I still cry about this every single day! And I can’t believe how awful they were to me after! In my 15 years of living in ATL, no place has traumatized me like this one. Update in response: We love a snarky ChatGPT response with further gaslighting! I failed to mention that the big hair fry does not happen in the moment you’re in the chair. (Which is why I was back a couple times for my pink color touch-up’s) This extended release hair breakage helps their case to blame the damage right back on you. It took about a month to realize something was off. But by Christmas my hair was actually toast.

Ashley Halfman Vanessa is truly a master of her craft! She is my go-to stylist. I visit her weekly for blowout and style, and she also has done my color and cut. She knows her stuff, and in addition to being knowledgeable, she has incredible attention to detail and time management. Whatever you need with regard to hair, she’s got you! The whole staff at Cherry Blossom is also very helpful and friendly.

Natalia Sanchez M. I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by Sydney, and I couldnt be happier with the results! From the moment I walked in, she made me feel welcomed and listened carefully to what I wanted. Her expertise truly shines through in the precision and creativity of the cut. I’ve received so many compliments, and I’m already looking forward to my next appointment. Highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a beautiful and transformative haircut! Jackeline Sosa I originally wasnt going to do this review but it is very disheartening after seeing that the stylist Jasmine is still working there after all the damage she did to my hair. As well I just want to warn potential new clients especially if you care about your hair not to book with her or just to think twice before booking with her. I had originally been scheduled to see my usual hairdresser, but she left this salon. Because I didnt want to reschedule I went ahead in had it booked with someone else. I figured they wouldnt just hire such a careless and unqualified stylist given how expensive this salon is. Before going to the salon my hair was platinum blonde and simply needed a root touch-up. When I left the salon, my hair was dark brown and the pain I felt in my scalp was excruciating. I went back for them to correct the color, which I still was not 100% satisfied with, and when I arrived home I found out on my own that half of my hair was burnt off. It is completely unprofessional for Jasmine to not have made me aware of the extreme hair loss and still found it appropriate to charge me. This was 4 months ago and I still have not been able to regain my curl pattern nor been able to style my hair as I loved to do so before. Even though they provided me a refund this huge and reckless mistake has taken a toll on my mental health and to see that she still works there makes me very uneasy for other clients that see her. I should add that Jasmine never once offered me an apology or demonstrated any sort of empathy. I have provided images that are hard for me to make public but is important for those who care for their hair and are scheduled with Jasmine at this salon.

Eileen Reuben I am so happy I found Steven Hightower. He is so talented! I took my Mom in for a cut and color and she is getting so many compliments. The cut and color are perfect! Ana Garcia I visited the salon on Friday 3/7 as a new client and scheduled with Javier. From the moment I walked inside I was greeted by two friendly ladies and felt welcomed as a new client. I have to give a huge shoutout to Javier for working almost an 8 hour shift on my hair. I had my appointment at 10 AM didn’t leave until almost 5 pm. He was kind enough to stay past their closing time and never rush the appointment. His work speaks for himself! Ladies book that appointment, Javier will work his magic. He knew exactly what he was doing with my hair, the amount of people who have complimented my hair is beautiful to see. Thank you Javier for giving me this beautiful look and taking your time on me. Tatsiyana Carter This was my first time booking here, and it won’t be my last. This salon is amazing! It’s beautiful! It’s welcoming! It’s CLEAN! I booked with Deonnie and she was/is INCREDIBLE! She will be doing my hair for as long as I remain in the state of Georgia. Everyone speaks to you and makes sure you’re comfortable. My hair was complete in a timely manner. They have refreshments to drink and books to read while you’re being serviced! The prices are unbeatable and I do mean that. I’ve stayed away from salons for years because of this new generation of hairstylist, but the women at this salon make you feel like it’s 2005 again! If you haven’t booked get, book NOW! Brittany Squires I’ve been coming to Hair in Peace for years and I’m always pleased with my experience. Sierra is my go to, she gives the BEST washes and makes my hair look and feel amazing! Kayla Osmon I had a great experience with Kat! After several traumatic hair experiences at previous salons, she is the first person to listen to me and support my vision for my hair in years. In my culture, hair is sacred, and its been hard for me to trust anyone with it because of so many bad experiences. I have long, course, very thick unlayered hair. I have had stylists thin, cut, and layer against my wishes because they believed it would look better or would be easier to manage. Ive had stylists tell me my hair is unruly and unmanageable. Kat was so laid back, kind, and attentive. She listened to my requests of cutting thick baby bangs with no layers. I am so happy with the results and havent felt this confident in awhile. I couldnt recommend her more :)

Esme Cecily May Smith Had such a amazing experience with Samuel! He really listened to the concerns I had with my hair. I get blonde highlights and it tends to get very tangled after washing and especially after dying. He took the time to blow dry parts of my hair first and slowly seperate the knots with his hands before running a brush through it. I’ve been getting my hair colored for a long time and no one has ever done this! I will definitely be back to see him. I’ve been salon bee bopping over the last year and finally found a stylist that understands my hair.

shabri Alvira did a great job on my haircut, and cut it exactly how I asked with lots of layers and texture. Noor did a great job with a facial, made it very relaxing and had attention to detail

Drea djaiye I would rate this lower if I could. Yasmin, is not courteous when you walk in, no hello or anything. This is what I have noticed for years, I started to realize its mainly to black women (I am black) Theres always an underlying sense of hostility. My main issue and why I decided to finally write this review today is with how she has messed up my eyebrows TWICE now, making them ridiculously uneven. I told her last time and still no change, She threaded one eyebrow way shorter which has left them looking ridiculously uneven and my face unbalanced. When I told her of her mistake for the second time, she was not apologetic at all, when obviously she made a huge error. Instead of naturally offering a refund or showing some sense of remorse she shrugged it and said "you should have told me" Why should i have to tell a professional how to cut eyebrows evenly? Theres literally.a huge gap between both eyebrows. At this point, it starting to feel deliberate and I feel very uncomfortable about it. Noor and Alvira are great. When you go, I recommend you schedule with them instead to avoid this treatment, especially if you are a black woman (which is most of who come in...) PS: I always tip very well, and am a very calm and polite person, I have had no issues with the others just her.

Dr. Zoola mae Been coming here for maybe 10 years now I was such a young lad! They get three stars from me. Hours and not being upheld they close early and open later the inconsistency is rough on my anxiety and I no longer live in the neighborhood. I don’t like the way they treat other customers . They only get friendly when they realize it is me in this world we live in we need service providers that we pay for to be kinder … bottom line!

Hazel Lika I’ve seen Abigail twice now and both visits were amazing. The BR facial left my skin glowing and refreshed, and the Luminary facial with a lash lift/tint gave me such a natural, effortless look. Abi is so skilled and calming—she really makes you feel taken care of. I can’t wait to come back!

Jennifer Robinson When I first sat in Rachels chair, I knew I was in expert hands. She is so knowledgeable and talented. Rachel has always taken the time to really understand what I wanted, even when I wasnt totally sure myself! She always colors and styles my hair to perfection! Brandi Johnson My line sisters and I scheduled a spa party here for our AKAversary yesterday. We had an amazing time! The massage was the best and we had access to the steam room and sauna before and after our services and had drinks and refreshments. The customer service was excellent during the planning process and when we had the spa party. Nekita was so professional and very accommodating. We will definitely be back! From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The atmosphere was incredibly calming, with soft lighting, soothing music, and a wonderful aroma that immediately put us at ease. My therapist, Ace, was warm and professional, taking the time to ask about my preferences and areas of tension. I felt deeply relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. Carly Welch Phoebe is truly the kindest most talented woman. I have blond eyelashes and brows and she makes them look magical. I always get both tinted, plus a lash lift and brow lamination. Everytime i leave my lashes look like extensions in the best way and my brows are just beautiful…constant compliments on them! And Phoebe is an absolute doll with the cutest most cozy studio. I love her so much and she will have my business for a long long time!

Samantha kaster This was my first time ever getting a last lift and tint and brow tint and it was amazing! Being able to go and talk to phoebe about what you want, is amazing. She was able to help me schedule exactly what I needed and it has lasted me weeks!

Benson Alcime I’ve been on the loc journey for 10+ years and I’ve had a few stylists that knew how to treat my hair. Then I had to look for a new stylist and it was very hard, until I found Miami from KeepItLoc’d Spa. Not only is her hair, gorgeous she was able to transform my hair to look as beautiful as hers! I was the only one there for my appointment and That added to the comfort and really made it feel like it was a VIP session. I definitely found my new fav stylist.

Demonté Derek (he him his) I had an absolutely amazing experience at Keep It Locked Hair Spa. I came in for a loc wash and retwist with a simple style. From start to finish, the service was phenomenal. Codie, my loctician, was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Before even starting, she examined my locs and scalp, asked about my current product use, allergies, and my usual wash/retwist routine. That level of personalized care was A1. The wash was super relaxing and the seat was one of the most comfortable Ive experienced in a salon. Codie took her time with two thorough washes, conditioning, and a steam treatment. She let me know everything she was doing before so that I knew exactly what was going on. After that, we went back to her station for the retwist and the style. we chose the exact style together, which turned out perfect. I would 1000% recommend to anyone looking for quality loc care. Codie was amazing, and I’ll be booking my next appointment expeditiously.

Cameron Garcia Ive been seeing Amanda for years now, and I have to say, shes the best stylist Ive ever had. No matter what shade or cut I want, she always executes it perfectly. Hayley Salon Modello is my go to hair salon for myself and my daughter. Friendly team, professional, very easy to work with and personable. Jimmy is a miracle worker with hair, great cuts - really listens to what you want and offers wonderful suggestions as well. Jimmy gives an excellent haircut, I also get my root touch ups done and highlights as well. Would 100% recommend Jimmy at Salon Modello!

brandi P I finally decided to book an appointment with Nicole for eyebrow shaping and tinting, and I’m SO glad I did! I’ve been following her page for a while now, and after my mom playfully pointed out that I looked cute but that my eyebrows needed help, I knew it was time to take the plunge. Nicole was super friendly, made the whole process quick, and my eyebrows have never looked better! Honestly, I can’t wait to book again. Highly recommend Nicole if you’re looking to get your brows on point!

Angela Marie Bree is exceptionally talented when it comes to locs, she has been my stylist for about a year upon first meeting her she explained the different ways to loc my hair. She communicated with me from beginning to end as I chose to do loc extensions, due to my work schedule she assisted me by picking up the loc extensions as well as the color that I had chosen for coloring my new style. She went above and beyond to service me and for that I am beyond grateful and pleased with her service. She has a great personality that makes you feel so comfortable while sitting in her chair not only did I gain a trusted stylist I also gained a friend! Thank you Bree good caring stylist are hard to come by!!

Danielle Brown My first appointment was canceled at the last minute, things do happen. Because I was from out of town (2 hour drive) I was told to come on in and someone else will take care of me. Got there on time and sat for over an hour waiting. So I decided to reschedule. Came back a month later , got highlights, partial perm, and hydration , cones up to be $210. I thought the price was outrageous but paid without complaining. Get home and take a look at hair - highlights aren’t visible. To say unsatisfactory is an understatement. Not pleased with service at all.

Daniel Roytburg Ive been going to Lynn Norman at Commoner Salon for a little over three years and the experience is phenomenal EVERY time. Lynn can translate your vague hair goals (or reference photo) into a perfect cut each time, steering her expertise with your intentions. She works magic on curly hair and knows how to bring out volume and texture. Her advice on growing out the cut/maintenance is always spot on, and my hair always feels healthier in her hands. She is a genius with a pair of scissors; I couldnt recommend her or this salon more!!

Leslie Great salon. Nice, friendly atmosphere. I go there for Meg Sellers, so this review is about my experience with her: Ive been going to Meg a few years. Favorite hair stylist Ive ever had! Shes very talented with a razor and shag cuts. she really *listens*. She will take the time to fully understand what I want. Shes patient as I am inevitably indecisive. And shes super kind! 10/10 recommended.

Cate Wright Erica is the best. Incredibly patient genuinely takes the time to talk through any concerns and preferences through the consult. The stylists chair is not my favorite place to be but the experience with Erica is always fun informative and I come away thrilled with the results. The salon itself has vaulted ceilings is roomy and relaxed. 10/10
