Shenise Daniels I only gave 1 star because it is a requirement! The salon is beautiful & clean however my nails were HORRIBLE! They were so bad I asked the gentleman to STOP, he insisted that he would fix my nails and they were only getting worse! The nail for my right middle finger was broken off earlier that day and the guy never added a tip back on after I told him and my natural nail was significantly shorter. The powder was being applied to my nails extremely THICK. My nails were all different sizes and lengths. Finally I made him stop. Two female workers came up to look and they acted as if I was over reacting. (And of course they began talking in their language). I have never left a salon in the middle of the service. I will post pics below of what I wanted, my nails during the process, and my nails after I went to my regular nail salon(Polished Nail Bar). I will never stop here again!

Megan M I had a lovely visit to this nail salon. The environment is calm and beautifully decorated. My nails look elegant and well-shaped. I’ll definitely come back again!

Maria Guz Hdz HORRIBLE ! Got my nails done for a wedding and they are horrendous. They are absolutely nothing like I asked. I told the girl doing my nails and she didn’t seem to care I was unhappy. Had to double pay and go else where to get them fixed. Will NOT be back! Save your money and avoid this place. Below are the pictures of what I asked for and what I got ……..

Keoz Moore Two of my nails broke (index and middle finger). I asked could they fix it but they did the complete opposite. They are oddly shaped and wider than the other nails. Nail tech explained that she could not achieve the normal shape as the other nails because she had to add tips (fake nails); the others are my natural nails. The nails she fixed hurts badly. Nail tech also seemed she was in a rush. I absolutely love this place but if you don’t go at certain times, they will rush.

Ashley Uscanga I love love love coming here!!!! I have been coming since they opened and no salon has ever had me coming back constantly every month. Without a doubt I will always come back to this salon!!!! Especially with how they know me by now when i walk through that door!!! I Love everything and I will never leave them. They make me so happy every time!!! I love everyone and Love the environment and their massages are to die for I get close to falling asleep every single time!!!

melissa wise Judy did my fill. She did exactly what I wanted. She’s very knowledgeable on what she thinks will look good on your nails. She also did my eyebrows and she fixed them for me. I got them done by someone else at another salon and she fixed them to perfection. Nam did my pedicure and oh my. It was amazing. He also gave me the best massage ever. Mary did my 6 year old daughter’s nails and she was so personal able and friendly. The salon overall is so clean and very professional looking. 10/10 I will definitely will go again.

Macy McDonald My grandpa made a reservation for me, my mom, my sister in law, & himself for pedicures for our Christmas present. One of our party was here 10 minutes early, the rest of us showed up 2 minutes after our scheduled time and they were unable to service 2 of us. This wasn’t mentioned until all 4 of us sat down & 2 of us were started. They then told us since we were 2 minutes late they couldn’t service us. I was at the red light for the 2 minutes that made us late. Extremely disappointed. No effort to make it right, they said we could wait for someone else to be done which was 30 minutes after our appointment. We’re now sitting next to them while they get serviced & my grandpa is upset as this was his present to us. Used to be loyal but will not be back. The manager “Ngoc” is one who said since we arrived at 2:02 for our 2:00 appointment we couldn’t get service.

Amy McDonald As I am sitting here with my party of four, only two were able to get pedicures because they said we were two minutes late so they started someone else. However, looking around there are not enough nail techs to have done us anyway. 2 minutes late? Really? What an excuse. On our last visit here we had appt for two and they only started one and put my feet in water. I waited 25 minutes before someone started on me. I will not revisit this place. They obviously do not care about your time. If you have an appt good luck you will need it!

Tabitha R The best experience Ive had in a long time! This was clean and has such a calm vibe. Its beautiful inside. I was very happy. Massage chair was great. I felt so relaxed.

Brianna S. Really good experience! The nail tech i had was very sweet, made conversation, and made sure she wasn’t hurting me. Out of all the places i’ve been to get my nails done, they were the most gentle and nice. The price is affordable unlike most places who up charge & the nails are good quality and super cute. Definitely plan on going back one day!

Dee Stuart Abby was my nail tech ... I just started coming to this nail salon a couple of months ago. Was tired of the same old routine no conversation no relaxation in my prior salons. And this one here is very inviting very friendly great atmosphere and especially with Abby she is awesome great communication she listens to what you want gives her opinion and is very good at taking the critiques back making things to what you want them to be and what you would like. I enjoy getting my nails done in the designs she is so great I have never seen nor met anyone he can do designs as well as she can to what I want and or am looking for. She has such a great creative mind pays attention to detail and if something is wrong on your nail shes very quick to take care of it fix it with no attitude or discouragement. Abby and my book rocks and I will continue to have Magnolia as my nail salon and go to. Yall keep up the good work.

Im a frequent flyer and have 2 people who have been the best in doing my nails and pedicure, Ms. Ann and Johnny keep me upbeat with a laugh each visit without fail!! Most places choose to charge more due to the length of your nails, but I havent had any problems with this at California Nails, so I actually dont mind if I have to wait!

Chelsea Williams Literally the best nail salon I’ve ever been to, and I’m so glad to be a regular customer! I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else. The entire staff is so friendly, kind, and helpful. Mary gives the best shoulder massages and Devon does an amazing job at nail art! They are very accommodating, clean, and affordable. I cannot recommend this place enough! ♥️

Jordan Babineaux Charlie is the best nail tech! Pink and white, chrome nails, cat eyes... all of them are great! The products they use are amazing and my nails last at least a month. The place is super clean and the staff is so friendly. You must check them out you wont be disappointed!

Yoselyn Teisier I got there at 7:00 and asked for the most complicated nails ever ! He didn’t finish till almost 8:30 and never complained once. Henry did amazing on my nails and so cheap too 70.00!!!!! Forever customer and the details on my nails are amazing . Truly recommend this place and ask for Henry his amazing and really good.

Bri They took me in last second and educated me about nails whenever I asked. It was my first time in a nail salon, so I wasnt sure what to do. They did amazing work!! Thank you, Ben, for my wonderful nails. I did SNS dip powder for my fingernails at $55 and had a basic pedicure package for $45 and tipped the difference.

Teresa Vojtas Absolutely will not be coming back. While I did have an enjoyable time with the staff, the outcome of my manicure and pedicure was incredibly disappointing. I have never had someone cut me over 4 times on my hands while the other person cut me once on my toes. One cut with the nail grinder was so bad my skin has separated from the nail. The gel on my toes was splotchy and my sns was just a disaster. I requested almond shape and it was closer to an actual almond not a professional nail shape. The sns wasn’t filed down after dipping it 6 times in color and another 5-6 time in the clear powder. I was in a time crunch and wanted to try a new place closer to my house and with high reviews online. After, I finished paying $158 with the tip, I went to my regular nail salon and got them taken off immediately and a new set put on.

cheyenne SOSO CUTE!!! i loved this place as soon as i walked in! it did take a lot longer than the initial time of the appointment but the wait was worth it. the girl who did my nails was super sweet and they came out absolutely adorable!! unfortunately, my finger did get cut which im assuming it was an accident.. but either way they turned out amazing and im super happy i came here!! ill be coming back and ill definately recommend this place to my friends. ♡

Briana Richardson This is my third time going to this salon, and I have been so happy while coming here. I’ve had a hard time finding a salon that could get the almond nail shape I wanted correctly. The first time I came, I felt bad because the young lady that helped me took so much time trying to fix the shape of my nails, but the end result was beautiful and I loved the little hearts she added. This most recent visit, I got a fresh set to try out their “cat eye” polish and I am in LOVE! First of all, I’m dying with how pretty the polish came out. But I am most happy with the nail sculpting. I got beautiful results and it didn’t cost me $100+. They are becoming my favorite salon.

Camille Downs I had a good experience there ( i brought a buddy along so that probably helped), and got the nails and service i requested. My nails have held on for 3 weeks now! The staff were professional, and i don’t remember the name of my nail tech- but a young guy did mine. He was attentive and made sure i was happy with the result.

Cris Holloman Tea has been doing my nails for a very long time. She does a great job every time I go to see her. She does my nails the way I like them and is fast. If you love pink & white… these will last 3-4 weeks, no lifting.

Denise Lopez I got a gel manicure a few days ago and lemme tell you it was super chill. My nails looked glossy and fresh for days and I didn’t even have to worry about chipping. The tech was sweet and made sure I was comfy the whole time. Salon feels cozy and clean and I’d defs tell my girls to come check it out

Katlin Gould I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NAILS!!! Lindsey is the absolute best! Okay so I came back and its making me edit an old one BUT I STILL LOVE THIS PLACE! Teresa did my nails today and I am someone who isnt good about saying if I dont like something, but she noticed (they looked great and nothing was wrong with it just was thick and not quite my style and I didnt speak up). But despite how long it took she had someone else redo it, but continued to sit with me the whole time. It was very professional and she made me feel so comfortable.

Esther Suen I got a full set gel and had Tommy as my nail tech! he was amazing and so meticulous, his attention to detail was incredible. I have never left a nail salon this satisfied and happy before!! Highly highly recommend this place for all Gainesville locals.

Jendy Rivera I visited on 4/17 and by the very next day (4/18), my gel nails were already cracking and lifting. I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary that could’ve caused this — I’ve had gel nails before and they’ve always lasted at least two weeks without issues. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I only chose this salon because I had a gift card, but the experience was disappointing from the start. The person at the front desk wasn’t welcoming at all. When I was greeted by Mary, she seemed to have an attitude and was noticeably rude. I even asked her if she was okay because I felt uncomfortable with how she was treating me. After I brought it up, her attitude did shift, but the whole encounter left a bad impression. Overall, it was not an enjoyable experience and I won’t be returning. Definitely not the kind of service or quality I expected.

The shape and length are also absolutely perfect! It’s a great space with a comfortable environment, and everyone is so friendly! I usually find something wrong with my nails but I will not go anywhere else after being here!

Cherith Kai and his team have a lovely salon here in Gainesville. I got SNS on my nails and gel on my toes and both were a great job. I felt very welcomed as soon as I walked in and very attended to during the visit. Some of the kindest people!!! It felt very clean and peaceful during the visit. It did start to get busy and they only had three people working but they’ll take care of you if you have a little patience. I will be returning!

J Marino I love City Nails & Spa. Sally, the owner, is so welcoming. Kim is my nail tech and takes such care to always give me beautiful nails. She does a great job with the powder. She’s always on time for my appointment and super friendly. I also find their pricing to be more reasonable than some of the salons in the area. They reward repeat customers. That makes a big difference to me. I highly recommend this salon!! A great team.

kendall tucker 5/5 stars! This is by far the best nail salon I have ever been too. Very friendly staff, affordable pricing, clean facility… I was able to walk in and immediately be seated, and my nail technician was very thorough and careful with my nails/design. She made sure to ask throughout the process if I was happy with my nails, and she paid very close attention to any flaw my nails had, which I greatly appreciate. I can’t count how many times I’ve come out of a salon with bumps, spots of missed polish, or roughly filed edges on my nails. I am very happy with my nails and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a nail salon!
