2 /5 Laura Bethel: I wish I had looked at the reviews before I went. I love Plato’s Closet and have been in many. This one was the most unorganized I’ve seen in a while. What made the experience even worthy of two stars was that I was able to find a few items my granddaughter liked enough to buy and I found one sweatshirt I really liked. What gained them only two star was actually the staff. The girl that was behind the counter might as well not even been there. She was completely worthless as far as any customer service. Checking out, I don’t think she said two words to me, in fact I can’t think of anything she said. She even shrugged her shoulders when I said I wanted to buy a cloth bag that was on a rack. My daughter and I went over and had to take a rack off the display to even reach it because apparently she had zero desire to get it for us. She just stood there completely confused! Then when I was trying to pay, apparently they don’t take Amex, but instead of telling me that she just stood there while I repeatedly tried to pay with it… never said a word. Finally I just assumed they don’t, asked her, she didn’t answer, so I used another card and it worked. I would have walked out and left everything if my granddaughter wasn’t there and had tried on the clothes she wanted. Notably, I rarely take the time to write a bad review. I just assumed it was a one off bad experience. This just was really bad.

1 /5 Melisa Richey: Manager and employee where not sweet or kind . I showed up at the store at 10:00 I stood out there in the freezing cold till 10:05. Then tied my hat and my receipt to the door. Called at 10:13 and the employee/manager claimed. Said that they hadnt opened up yet still AND SAID THINGS HAPPEN SOMETIMES. Then KEPT SAYING THAT VERY UNPROFESSIONAL LIKE . Then I caught another location and Jonesboro and the lady was just a doll. Then I was trying to find out who the person I spoke with so I could tell the owner. And a girl tells me shes a manager too How weird. And said so I asked her what was the managers name She said shes a manager. How weird. Then refused to tell me who the ladys name I spoke with. Then the higher boss calls me. Which I do appreciate trying to explain to me what had happened. And she pretty well said the same thing Things Happen . It was not the point of things happens. Im a new customer who was left out in a cold so they could count the register. They can keep my hat and l am truly disappointed in the unprofessional behavior period . I drove 30 minutes out of my way to return a ripped hat . Left in the cold to deal with unprofessional employees. Then the owner could not even be tacful to call me . Which l did say he didnt have to . But l guess thats why the businesses close down . So disappointed in this business all around. I agree with the lady and the previous review the guy there young guy is very sweet.

1 /5 Kierston: I drove 45 minutes to Platos Closet just for them to tell me that it’s 3 people’s drop offs they have to do and they are short staff so they could not take mine. Then offered me to go to the Jonesboro location which is AN HOUR away from their location. That’s disrespectful!!! I called before I came to ask a question, it should have been communicated with me that they were not accepting any more drop offs on that day. Not to mention, they were standing at the register talking and not even checking the drop offs. When taking these pictures the little girl waved at the camera… ghetto. The store is filthy and smells awful. Plato’s needs to do better!

1 /5 Julius Andrews: Edit 8/21/25 After saying I wouldnt use this store again I had some shoes that were laying around so before deciding to donate them I figured Id give this store one final shot. I went in with 6 pairs of shoes they turned down the most valuable pair and offered me 49 dollars for 5 pairs. Two pairs that were brand new and two other pairs that were close to new, meanwhile ive watched them advertise and sell similar pairs anywhere from 60-80. Honestly I would have took 90-100 but offering me gas money is insane. Only use this store if your desperate, and if you are you might be able to pay half your water bill Ive tried this store out a few times, im Sneaker collector so I know fakes when I see them and I see a lot of fake sneakers in there.. I legit took a pretty much new pair of authentic off white sneakers not a hyped up model but a very nice pair amongst other brand new apparel with the tags. Theyve told me it wasnt name brand, but clearly theyre out of touch with whats name brand. Ended up working out because I was able to give it all to a homeless guy on my way home, the highlight is a there is very courteous young man thats nice to me everytime Ive come and even he seems confused at why my items arent accepted, the rest of staff is pretty rude and unprofessional. -0/0 recommend

1 /5 Amanda Bullard: Using AI to make an ad is actually baffling considering there have not been any items in this storefront that are actually worth your time. Any items you sell will likely get you some change and anything worthwhile gets ignored.
