1 /5 Ryan Cook: Went there this morning to get a cheap coffee maker, and I went there because it was close, and typically, I can be in and out fast. Found the last most basic black plastic Hamilton Beach coffee maker with just an on and off switch on an end cap that said "Hamilton Beach small kitchen electrics, select styles", and it was on sale for $19.99, marked down from $32.99. I was happy with the price. Went to register, and it rang up at $34.99. Requested a price check and walked over with the manager. I told the manager that if they could find a sticker for it with the price, then I would pay it. Showed them the end cap where I got it, we looked everywhere, and the manager could not find a place for the model with a price anywhere. I then asked if they would honor the advertised price and was quickly told no because on the sticker where the item was placed, it said the original price was $32.99 instead of $34.99. I quickly said I that would shop somewhere else and that was the end, they didnt care. I looked online and found the same exact product selling between $21-25 at multiple stores. They are overcharging greatly for products and should have honored the sale price listed. Went to Target and bought a better Mr. Coffee brand maker for $30. Word of wisdom to the manager that wouldnt honor the listed price. Kohls has lost a customer, and this review will lose them thousands. Its no wonder why Amazon is killing all the box store competition, however I do like to get out and go to stores and shop the old-fashioned way quite often. Goodbye Kohls, do better next time...
