1 /5 OM Rim: Disappointing Changes at Fayetteville Thrift Store
I used to love this thrift store and considered it one of my favorites, but thats no longer the case since it came under new management in January 2025.
The most noticeable change is the pricing. Sales are a rarity now, and the prices have gone up significantly—often higher than what youd find on eBay. For example, I saw a doll priced at $35 that typically sells for $15 or less online. There are many other similar examples throughout the store.
Another concerning change is the shift in the stores mission. The store used to regularly donate money to the Real Life Center, but this practice seems to have stopped.
On a recent visit, a cashier was very argumentative when I commented on the prices. She insisted they had the lowest prices in the area, which is simply not true. You can find much more affordable items and frequent sales within a 30-minute drive, including weekly or even daily sales—not just "buy one, get 50% off the second" deals.
Overall, the new management has made significant changes that have negatively impacted the quality and value of the store.
