1 /5 B C: Husband just had a bad experience in this location. Went to pay for a $10 item and hands the cashier one $10 bill and one $1 bill. She decided his money was fake? And checked it for counterfeit by using a counterfeit marker. It came up as REAL (pictures included) but she still decided to run it through the machine and claimed it was fake. My husband paid with card since his money was deemed "fake". Ive been working in retail for thirteen years, in NY, FL, and GA, and I have NEVER had to check $10 or $1. We check $20 and up. Plus based on what Ive read BEALLS isnt even required to check those bills either. My brother-in-law was shopping with my husband and when we told him what happened he went to the front, waited in line, WATCHED the same girl ring out a family that paid all in cash, and she didnt check even one bill. When it was his turn he asked the girl to recheck the bill in the machine. It obviously came up real. This girl just acted like it wasnt a big deal and said "I guess I shouldve tried it again". You make someone feel like crap and claim theyre handing you fake money and you dont even offer an apology? Youre lucky were not the type of people to sue for something like this because that girl was 100% racial profiling, and that is federally illegal. This is 2026, grow out of your ignorance people!
