Lauren Labit: I enjoy this park because of how quirky and unique it is. A great part is the trails! Highly recommend if you need something fun and free to do that gets you, your family / kiddos, and dogs out in nature. Plus, it’s right behind the library - how cool is that!
Newton County Turner Lake Park - Covington
    Newton County Turner Lake Park
Virginia Voll: I love this park. It has so much to offer, a fishing lake with a pier designed to accommodate wheelchairs, a great playground, ball field and glorious hiking trails. The nature trails are great but not marked well so you can get a little lost, but no worries, you eventually find your way out and it adds to the adventure. There are little wooden bridges ... I always feel like I’m out in the woods even though the park is within walking distance of the city. My favorite park to take a daily walk.

Chelsea Hayton: Not a ton going on when we visited because it was a Monday but also seemed like they could really lean in a little more to the tourists visiting for the Originals show like Covington has for Vampire Diaries fans. There were some shops that had leaned into it but seemed like a lot of shops had closed down. I could see this being a really cool bustling area for tourists of all kinds to shop and eat. Otherwise, its a very cute area to visit and Im sure the locals appreciate the peacefulness of it with a cute little park in the middle.

Doug Wallen: Took a lazy Saturday to visit nearby Milledgeville to visit the former Governors mansion. There were no other guests, so it became a one-on-one excursion through the mansion. Very well-informed docent and a thorough trip through the home. I highly recommend this trip while in Milledgeville.

Nathan McDaniel: My daughter and I visited this place a week ago. Its just something to do because it had been raining here so much, and it was a nice day and we got out and and decided on this place. She had a good time, drove the go-karts and we played Putt-Putt and she played a few games inside. They also have bumper boats and a few other attractions as well. However, we did not partake in any of those activities.

Peyton: Gorgeous views. I ended up here as a stop on a surprise roadtrip and I was speechless. It was pretty foggy when I was there and it gave off almost walking dead vibes but it was so cool! I’m sure when it’s not foggy you can see a lot from the viewpoint. There were benches to sit at and relax and just enjoy being surrounded by nature
Hardman Farm Historic Site - Sautee Nacoochee
    Hardman Farm Historic Site
Steve Best: The Hardman Farm main historical buildings site is located at SE entry to Helen across from Indian Mound & old railway Depot bldg. From this side, main parking is Not at red brick bldg, but rather Above & behind site via entry road circling around from adjacent Hwy 17 entry. We accessed, started from Other end via the Hardman Farm Walking Trail. Great easy paved, tree covered walking/hiking path to/from easily accessible historical site. Easily accessible by those with mobility challenges too. We started at the NW end of the Hardman Farm Walking Trail, parking near SE edge of Helen a block off main street, & walked the 0.8 mile trail that parallels the Chattahooche River. At this end just as you cross pedestrian bridge, on your left, barely noticeable are remnants of an old small mine. Continue to right to walk 0.8 mile along the river to the Hardman Farm historical farm buildings. Walked all about the grounds. Red brick bldg serves as shop/museum & offers special docent lead tours (including inside mansion) for a fee $.
