All of the stylist have been in the hair industry for a long time. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They specialize in lots of different services. I always love my hair when I leave.
Unique Creations Wellness Spa & Salon - McDonough Gabrielle: I had an absolutely awful experience at this salon with stylist Jenny and would strongly advise anyone considering her services to RUN the other way. From the moment I sat in her chair, it was clear she had no intention of listening to my requests or providing quality service. Despite clearly asking for a Farrah Fawcett-inspired curls, Jenny admitted she didn’t even know who Farrah Fawcett was (at the end of my services), then had the nerve to try charging me extra when I reminded her about the style.
Even worse was the way she handled my hair. She applied so much pressure with the flat iron that I literally felt my ends snapping off, and when I asked her to ease up, she blamed MY hair, calling it "dry and brittle" instead of adjusting her technique. By the time I got home, my hair smelled burnt—my teenager pointed it out immediately—and my braids were STILL WET, proving she didn’t even dry my hair properly before frying it with heat.
The most infuriating part? The bait-and-switch pricing. She quoted me $125 for a wash, silk press, and curls and said it was the salons pricing. She made me aware taxes would be charged but a perfect $10 was suspicious "but no percentage for tax listed" The receipt falsely listed services I never received (a trim and hydration), and when I questioned it, she just said, "This is my price." She even admitted she charges less outside the salon, confirming this place is a scam. What happened to the $125 being the salons rate. Meanwhile when I visited the website for the salon it stated a silk press was $85.
Jenny was unprofessional, dismissive, and careless with my hair. Despite all this, I still tipped her $10 out of courtesy, but she didn’t deserve a single penny. Save yourself the frustration, money, and hair damage—**DO NOT book with Jenny or this salon.** You’re better off doing your own hair than risking this nightmare.
La Bella Lily’s Dominican Hair Salon - McDonough T. T: Twice I went here for color and was told no because it’s busy. Mind you it’s not like I’m coming in the afternoon, or end of day. I was there at 9:15 and they open at 9. It was a Saturday and I was told to come during the week. How?! I work Monday-Fri! Also my child’s hair is thick and natural but short (barely touching her shoulders) and it was $90 for a silk press. I live close by and I hate that I have to find someone else, but we won’t be back.
Foundation Hair Studio - McDonough Anne Wilson: Ann has been my stylish for 20 years, and I’ve never been disappointed with a service! She is so talented and takes genuine interest in me! My color is so natural and grows out beautifully! I highly recommend Ann or any other stylist at Foundation!
Studio styles salon - McDonough Ebony Elegancesy: Tracey work is phenomenal. Shes kind, smart, genuine, appropriate, sweet, & reasonable. Every time she does my hair I feel a piece of home and a brand new person. I have been going to the shop now for 2 years + and Im always excited to show off my new look. Thank you, so much for being a genuine hairstylist because thats really hard to come by. Excitement every time Heave the chair!!!

Vice Beauty Lounge - McDonough Craving Hair: I love getting my brows done here but my hair, never again. Money hungry. Don’t come here and get a quick weave if u care about your hair. I got paper and cap on my head for protection and still glue is all over my hair, my scalp was on fire and itching. I asked for my nape to be out and she glued a track right on my leaveout where I could pull my hair up in the back. There is no cap or paper on my edges. Where is my protection??? I went back a couple days later and all she could say was it’s new glue….. what??? I said why this new glue all on my skin???she couldn’t answer that. Hair glue does not go on skin!!!! this is very unacceptable. Pics attached

The stylist are all professional and knowledgeable about hair and what will look best for me. Tee is my loctician and I wouldn’t trade her for anything. The shop is elegant, clean and the atmosphere is conducive for you to relax. Great experience!!!
