This particular stylist possesses an impressive level of expertise and skill when it comes to doing hair, and I can genuinely appreciate her talent in that area. However, despite her noteworthy abilities, I have decided that I will not be returning for future appointments.
The primary reason for this decision stems from her tendency to engage in lengthy conversations while working on my hair. While I certainly understand that some people enjoy chatting during their appointments, I found her constant stream of questions and commentary to be a bit overwhelming. It felt as though I was on display, rather than just relaxing and enjoying the experience.
Moreover, there is another aspect that significantly contributed to my choice to look elsewhere for hair services: her insistence on taking pictures once she finishes styling. Rather than simply asking if I would be okay with it, she firmly states that she needs to take pictures for her own records. While I understand that many stylists document their work, I found it uncomfortable knowing that I would be photographed and those images would be stored in someone else’s phone without my explicit consent. Not everyone feels at ease with the idea of someone else possessing pictures of them, regardless of the context.
If it were not for these specific factors—the excessive talking and the mandatory picture-taking—I would undoubtedly consider returning to her for my hair needs. Her skill is undeniable, but the discomfort I experienced during the appointment ultimately outweighed any enthusiasm I had for her abilities. Thus, it is with mixed feelings that I share this review, hoping to provide a balanced perspective for others who may be considering her services.
