It was quaint, seemed safe enough and a pleasant walk for the evening. The restroom building looked rustic from the outside, but was clean on the inside.

Penny Black Pešić: Peaceful and plenty of places to sit and rest during your walk. Visit the displays and pick up brochures on the early history of Clarkesville in the Mauldin House and other restored buildings on the property. If its too hot or cold to stay outside, the Northeast Georgia Regional Library is next door and has plenty of books and multimedia, as well as computer access, restrooms, water fountains, and plenty of seating. Ask the volunteers in the Mauldin House for recommendations on local activities, restaurants, and overnight accommodations.
