1 /5 J T: I am not one to make reviews and complain. But the service I received today was not the greatest. I came in at 10am leaving about 1:30pm.
I will just get to the point, Lots of miscommunication and the young girl had to accommodate everyone, as it seems she knows she is the only one handling things well.
By the time I got to the third technician, he said he was going to cut my nail and I thought he meant to trim them evenly , thinking they’ve communicated what I wanted done, when all of a sudden he starts chopping off all my natural nails on my right hand. He asked what shape do you want them in, I said no shape now because you cut them all off! He assumed I was getting acrylics :(
He quickly glued a fake one on to hurry and try to fix the issue. I just knew I should have left when miscommunication was happening with my feet :(
Then the young girl comes back around again to find out what was going on… she knew what happened and here she was fixing another mistake. She then decides she is going to make it right for me and stays with me the rest of the time. I know she tried to make it right…I’m not mad at her for that.
I’ve never had anyone chop my natural nails so quickly like that. Then swap out technicians and it become so evident they messed up. If you know me you just know I am very passive but the mistakes made on this visit in this place was a bit ridiculous. Communication is not their strongest point.
The young girl then uses powder to try and mimic my real nails. At the end, They put me on the phone with the owner and I asked them just to be fair. I am also a business owner. I am not trying to take advantage of anyone.
I said I will pay for the feet but I am not paying for my hands as I still felt my finger tips on my hand throbbing from how close they cut down my nails. If you have natural nails, you’ll know.
At check out they refused to honor my request and I did pay the full price. The owner was called on the phone, and tried to only give me 10 % discount, then went up to 20%, then finally a 50% disc.
The problem I have is that, it wasn’t about the money to begin with which is what they made it out to be. It was the principle for me. I asked them to deal fairly and was firm on my request.
I will pay for my pedicure but not my manicure as to me it is not what I was hoping for. I was not going to leave my nails like that, it was up to them to fix my short nails and be fair.
I’m sad for the girl in the middle and I told her it was nothing personal but the principal. I will not be visiting this place again. If they would have honored my request which I thought was fair considering , then I would have given another chance and would have come to get my nails done the next time by the girl only. I won’t be coming again. I would rather invest in family owned businesses that care about the longterm and not just for the moment. I have now wasted too long on this. I paid full price. I need the owner to know , he was not fair and now for the extra $ he lost a committed customer.
The nails look so bulky. I rarely treat myself and this was disappointing today. :(
