Steven Larson: Baseball review for Training Legends Tournaments: These are softball fields, not baseball fields. No grass in the infield. Portable pitching mound for baseball. Only one batting cage for 3 softball fields. On field 1, second base is at least a foot offline from home plate through the pitchers mound. Chain link fence for a back stop. No shaded areas for the bleachers so bring your tents. Inadequate bleacher seating so bring your folding chairs. The soccer field had to be used for pre-game warm-ups. No bullpen areas on any fields. No cell phone service for myself and other parents on my team. Concessions are good. Mens bathroom has 2 stalls and 2 urinals. I did not see any restaurants to eat at which were close by. Located in a rural area, well north of Canton. Not enough parking for Training Legends (TL) tournaments. People having to park on side streets due to lack of parking spaces for TL tournaments. Inadequate number of handicap parking spaces for TL tournaments. Fields are well maintained. Park employee and park manager very nice and accomodating. I do not recommend that Training Legends have any more tournaments here.

    Etowah River Park
D-Ray: A Beautiful two day, (today & Friday) for a walk in the park. Go early in the summer to beat the heat. Plenty of walkers, joggers, bikers, dogs. But, not overly crowded. I noticed the concession stand opened today, also. I crossed the bridge over the Etowah River to go to Heritage Park on the other side. Easy riding or walking with kids, too. There is plenty of free parking. There is also a kayak launch here, if thats more your style.

Claudio Artigas: Great paved walk trails, well maintained park, very clean and beautiful. Its long enough to get more than 3 miles of walking. The river runs thru, adding to the view. Great places for walking, running, bicycles and t to play around. Large grass areas and playground available. You also can bring your dog for a walk.

Postcards from Georgia: A wonderful experience and free with advance tickets. The permanent collections were very interesting and many pieces of art were beautiful and/or captivating! The temporary collections were not my style but the space provided by the museum was still done well.

A Hernandez: Beautiful place to explore all variety of plants though out the season. There is also a kids area where little ones will enjoy as well. Also great location to take special occasion pictures
Sandy Creek Nature Center - Athens
    Sandy Creek Nature Center
Sabrina Waters: Sandy Creek nature center is a beautiful place to step away from the busy pace of the city and explore the natural beauty of this hidden gem. The trails are peaceful and easy to access. After a wet season some trails may be impassable because they are in a low lying area. The center itself looks like a fun place to visit and learn about native plants and animals. (I had my dog so I didn’t venture inside) they have a nice newly constructed playground behind the center as well. There is also access to the paved greenway that goes through Athens.
