Jacqueline BooShay: 03/2025 -Prior to booking, Brent answered all of my questions about the tour experience. Laura is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and does a great job explaining the history of Knoxville. She also welcomes questions and is a very accommodating tour guide.

Mickayla Stogsdill: For anyone who grew up or is specifically interested in East TN history, this place was so cool. If you’re just wandering and randomly come across this museum, it may not be for you. Free admission (with option for donations that go to the museum or local natural disaster aid relief) and ~3-5 rooms to walk around

Brian Monroe: Great little park. Splash pad is wonderfully well kept and lots of fun for the kids. Right next to a playground so they can burn off some more energy

mark singleton: Our first time riding the Christmas train and my family and I loved it! Santa came and gave presents to all the kids. Everyone on board received cookies and hot cocoa and a free present. Definitely coming back next year!

Russell Fernandes: What a great place to enjoy nature with a huge slice of history. The bird watching opportunities were a bit limited for me as most of the avian life stayed behind the curtains of Spanish moss. But the birdsong keeps things cheerful, especially if the weather cooperates. Comparatively isolated in terms of food and drink options being nearby, so best to pack a picnic lunch ahead of time and enjoy the day.

Alfred Mills: Not much to complain about here except there are obviously a good amount of patrons. My four and two year old boys and I did the hike to both directions at the bottom of the initial stairs down to the river. If you turn left you are on the main boardwalk hike to the large, flat boulder area at some nice rapids. Also to the left was a switchback trail up the hill. My kids and I went all the way up the hill and it levels out and goes a good way. We didnt reach the end as the boys wanted to go back to the river, but we went close to a mile. There was no one else on this trail, so pick it if you want some privacy. There are lots of areas to put in your kayaks or river floats. You obviously know what youre getting at this type of trail, but it was pleasant and we will go back again. Im sure its packed in the summer, so I would avoid it in peak season.
Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area -
Matthew Fugel: Beautiful area, but pick up your trash. Keep Georgia beautiful forever. If you fish, camp, or just visit - take everything you brought with you, and leave no trace.
