5 /5 Terri Pinder, APN: A nice hike up to the lower falls. Dont miss the blue hole on the way. Many opportunities to walk the river rocks, though the lower river bed was dry when we were there late August. The incline is slow and the path well groomed until the last stretch where it gets a little challenging. Rocks and roots plus a pant-inducing incline for this out of shape old woman. But keep with it, rest and go again! The Hemlock Falls that are at the top are ok- a mere shadow of what they once were (you can see where they used to fall from the entire width of the ledge, but now only about 20%). Buy the hike is a good trip up and back that took us about 4.5 hours to do at a very slow pace.
