5 /5 Ryan F: Great waterfall, the locals told us we werent allowed to climb to the top, but the view from the bottom was still stunning. Would love to return here someday. Beautiful little 0.5mi hike into the waterfall, then a nice fairly spacious area for multiple families to comfortably enjoy the area. Decent parking lot with maybe 40 spots. Its a bit of a local hot spot. Expect other to be there when you get there.

5 /5 Angie Wages: If you need to cool off, this is a good spot to try out! There are a ton of trees keeping it shaded. Bring a chair or a towel/blanket to chill on. You can get in the water, so wear your suit. (Theres no bathroom or anywhere to change.) So beautiful and relaxing!

4 /5 Trevis X. Leigh Williams: We chose this based on the short trail description since my mom uses a walker. Really pretty short walk but steep and the trail is deeply rutted with a rain gully, so she had to stop and wait for us. Pretty falls and creek.

Getting to the Waterfalls can be a bit dangerous walking on the Tree roots and rocks. But once you get there The Water fall looks amazing. We really enjoyed it. May 2024 Me and my pup went here today. I thought we could get a dog walk in. I felt very unsafe. The pics online look so nice but getting to the water fall was dark and rocky. I didnt even get to see it. There is a Cemetery before you get to the water falls. I have a small pup and I didnt feel comfortable letting her down to walk. This isnt a good place to take your smaller dog. The walking trail there is so rocky and just dirt.. I seen a bigger dog go down the steep dark walking trail. If there is a NEXT time I will leave my dog. And go with the Hubby. I really wanted to see the Water fall. Unfortunately I didnt get to it.

5 /5 Colton Lovelace: Large parking lot for such a small area. The path is narrow and washed out so watch your steps. Seems like a multipurpose place whether you’re up to shady business or bathing your kids in the creek all are welcome. Nothing here besides a couple picnic tables and the falls when there’s water. The path passes by an old cemetery from the mid 1800’s.

wyewyezed 2112: We’ve stopped here a couple times to have lunch and just take a break from driving. It’s a lovely creek and the restrooms were open for you switch isn’t always the case in these kinds of spots. The playground is very modern and the whole area is well-maintained.

Burnt Mountain Preserve - Jasper

Jessica Holbrook: Loved it! But, I will warn you, you definitely need to have your hiking shoes on. This was the first time I went and there were a lot of wet leaves on steep parts of the trail. Very serene. Beautiful creek.

Calvin Farmer Park - Ball Ground

Lindsay Prose: This is such a beautiful spot just off the downtown strip. The playground and swings are perfect for all ages with lots of shaded area and pavilions around it. The new walking trail is a great area for all types of workouts and play. The sign says 10 laps around is 3 miles but the math is a little off and its more like 2.7 miles. The bathrooms are super clean and the city does a great job of keeping the whole area picked up and tidy. Highly recommend it as a stop to kill some time or burn some energy!

Eagles Rest - Jasper

Don K: This is a great place for an amazing view in the North Georgia mountains. I have been up there many times to take pictures of all the migrating birds. If you are a birder, this is a great spot. Its usually much cooler that Atlanta with a 3000 foot elevation.

Laura Simmons: The trail was great. There are many small trails that scatter through out the park. They all loop around or connect to another one. They have many signs on the tails that help guide you. Other than the heat, it was a great hike for me.

Funk Heritage Center - Waleska

Mark Bain: My wife and I really enjoyed the museum. My favorite part was the huge antique tool collection. It was amazing. The walk around the log cabin village was pretty neat as well.
