Eagles Rest - Jasper (GA)

5 /5 Don K: This is a great place for an amazing view in the North Georgia mountains. I have been up there many times to take pictures of all the migrating birds. If you are a birder, this is a great spot. Its usually much cooler that Atlanta with a 3000 foot elevation.

4 /5 Jon Thoppil: Dont be disappointed. There is NO nest. The long winding road is so awesome. Its more like an off roading experience The gate is only open from 8 to 8. You can spend a few mins enjoying the calmness, the beautiful wilderness, and thats all there is.

5 /5 Ron Fritz: Great place for a view of the mountains and some cooler mountain air. We visit there in the spring because it appears to be a favorite stop for birds on their way north. I wish it were open before 8:00 AM. It would be a great place to photograph the sunrise.

5 /5 Andy Bodnar: Loved these trails, it was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It also had very well maintained hiking trails. They are a pretty short distance and good for novice hikers. We hiked the white and blue blazed trails. They have a few monuments and interesting things to read about the area and the Cherokee Indians living their in the past.

5 /5 Chris Jeffery: My wife and I came here for a picnic lunch. It was fantastic. You are at the crest of the mountain so you can take a short walk and see the incredible views in every direction and it was so quiet and peaceful. There are great viewing decks for north, south, east and west views. There is also a picnic deck that would seat at least 18 people. It also has an incredible view. This was well worth the drive. I will come back to hike the trails as soon as I can.
