Performance Automotive - Augusta
Kayla Jacobs: I honestly was really glad when I saw their shop go up off 56 because I was glad to have a mechanic nearby. The owners seemed so nice and I honestly think they are good people. We had our AC repair, oil changed, tires rotated and balanced, and light bulbs changed all around the vehicle.
The Motorcity Mechanic Garage - Augusta
Mark Walker: I was referred to them by someone and I will.admitbI was impressed. From the first stop in to discuss the issue with our Jeep, the drop off, testing and pick up. He was honest and informed me he didnt find anything when testing even though we know there is some type of communication error. If the Jeep continues Ill definitely be taking it back for further evaluation.
Mannys Service Center - Augusta
Caitlin Buhrmeister: Used Mannys services for the first time recently. He was able to get me in to diagnose the problem the same morning I called. He has to order parts and it was a holiday week, but even with that he got me back in one week later for repairs. My car was done within 4 hours of drop-off and sounded like new! The price was reasonable for what needed done as well. Hes going to be my new go-to guy for my Honda.
SVR Auto Repair, LLC. - Augusta
Dinkle Burg: As an avid Local Guide finding legitimate businesses, Id like to start with how honest, fair if not under priced, and family oriented this place is. They dont only treat you like family but even your car. They dont try to push or add any unnecessary work or sell you any extras. Id definitely recommend this business to anyone!
THE MOBILE MECHANIC - Augusta
Grady Phillips: I called to get some brake work done and he said he would let me know when he was on the way. Then just dropped off the face of the earth. Wouldnt respond to texts or calls. I ended up calling another mobile mechanic the next day and they got it done within an hour. This guy was a total waste of my time. Shouldve just told me he wasnt available and I couldve called someone else. But I wasted the day waiting for a call back for nothing.
D&T Automotive Repair - Augusta
Chris Calhoun: Have a Honda Accord with a Transmission solenoid problem that other repair shops didnt want to touch. These guys replace and fix it with no problem at a good price. Definitely recommend.
Butler Automotive - Augusta
Matthew Johnson: I had a slow leak in my front tire on my Toyota Camry and couldn’t figure it out. Stopped by Butler on Wrightsboro Road they found a nail in the sidewall and explained that it couldn’t be patched safely. They got me a great price on a replacement and had it installed, balanced, and back on the road in under an hour. Super efficient and very transparent.
Automotive Experts - Augusta
Afro History Learner: "I recently had the pleasure of getting my cars AC fixed at Automotive Expert, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with their service. As a veteran, it is important for me to support businesses that value and appreciate military service members. What initially caught my attention was the significant price difference between Automotive Expert and Firestone. In 2022, Firestone quoted me a staggering $1800.00 for the AC repair, and shockingly, in 2024, their quote escalated to $2400.00. As a loyal customer, I expected them to uphold their reputation of supporting the troops, but their exorbitant prices left me disappointed. Fortunately, I stumbled upon Automotive Expert, located off 740 Scott Nixon Memorial Drive. Not only did they provide exceptional service, but they also fixed my cars AC for a fraction of the price. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a quote of only $420.00 – a remarkable difference compared to Firestones inflated prices. They’re located on post as if they’re supporting military members and they’re clearly not with those prices. The team at Automotive Expert displayed utmost professionalism throughout the entire process. They were prompt, efficient, and ensured that every aspect of the AC repair was taken care of. The quality of their workmanship is exceptional, and my cars AC now functions flawlessly. I highly recommend Automotive Expert to fellow veterans and anyone in need of reliable car repair services. Their commitment to fair pricing and exceptional service is truly commendable. Its refreshing to find a company that not only delivers on their promises but also understands the value of supporting those who have served our country. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Automotive Expert for their outstanding service and their dedication to the community. They have certainly earned my trust and future business."
Butler Automotive - Martinez
John: The team at Butler in Martinez is awesome. Scheduling was easy, and they took the time to answer all my questions. Whether it’s an oil change or something more serious, I always feel like I’m in good hands. Its great to have a reliable shop right here in the neighborhood.
The Garage On Gordon Highway - Augusta
Jennifer Ohs: They don’t stand behind their work. Go elsewhere. The money you think you’re saving will just go toward fixing their mistakes. We had our truck towed here after engine failure. Worked with Ryan to select a rebuilt engine. They installed it, and we should have known something was wrong as soon as we pulled off the lot. The check engine light came on immediately. We turned around, they looked at it, drove it, cleared the code, and told us it was a fuel pressure issue. The next day, the truck couldn’t tow our trailer more than 5 mph. We took it to a shop in Atlanta for a quick look. They found a massive fuel leak caused by poor engine installation. Several parts had to be replaced because of damage from leaking fuel. That damage never should have happened. While the warranty covered some of it, the Garage on Gordon refused cover anything. They told us we should have brought it back to them. Mind you, were 2 hours away and Im not taking the vehicle back to a shop that messed it up in the first place from general lack of quality control in workmanship. We gave them the opportunity to make it right - not asking for a full refund, but asking them to pay for some of the remaining balance of the corrective work. They would not. The second shop’s report listed silicone on parts that shouldn’t have it, missing bolts, and other signs of bad workmanship. Extremely disappointing experience.
