5 /5 Mark Crockett: Visiting family in oakwood from out of town. Engine leaked a bunch of coolant and overheated. Victor Gomez had the only shop in Gainesville open on July 4th and was highly responsive. I told him I would try to get my vehicle towed to the shop and when it had been a couple hours and my car was not there, he called me to verify that I was coming. Met him on Saturday morning with the vehicle at the shop and he was very forthright about what he would do to diagnose the problem. I got a good reassurance I see that he takes care of his customers and does honest business. He deals honestly with people despite them not being locals. Sent me a video of the diagnosis and symptoms. He ended up needing to replace the water pump and he provided multiple options for repair to help save money and have a better warranty option on the parts. He kept constant communication with me throughout the repairs and got them done in the same day. Would highly recommend him to anyone needing a trustworthy mechanic.

5 /5 O Jay: I was referred to Automotive Gomez from another mechanic to change my catalytic converter. The owner Victor was very professional and explained everything to me. While he was changing my catalytic converter, he noticed an issue from previous work that in turn, caused another issue that wouldve been detrimental for me in the near future. He called me and told me about it and was able to fix that for me as well. Victor kept me informed on everything that was happening with my car and the work was completed all in one day. I now have a reliable, honest mechanic Thank you Victor for your great work and professionalism.

I initially had a decent experience with Automotive Gomez, he had done some prior work on my car but things quickly took a turn for the worse. The owner Victor, misled me about the work being done on my vehicle. Always gave me the run-around and couldnt keep up with his lies. He had my car for over 3 months. To make matters worse, my cars bumper was damaged while it was in his possession. He promised me he would fix it, but after multiple attempts to get him to honor that promise, he never did. On top of that, he never replied to my messages or calls and was extremely difficult to get an update from, we always had to go out of our way to go to his shop and try to catch him there or else we would never hear from him. I strongly advise staying away from this place. What started out as a decent experience ended up being a huge disappointment. Very dishonest, and I won’t be returning to this scam of a business.

A few of weeks ago, my husband contacted Victor after receiving a referral from another mechanic regarding issues with our Chevrolet Traverse. Although my husband had a general idea of the problem, he needed a professional assessment. Victor accurately diagnosed the issue as faulty catalytic converters—two of them, to be precise. Despite the challenges posed by California emissions regulations, Victor was able to source the necessary parts and complete the repairs in a timely manner. We truly appreciate the exceptional service we received. He also, dropped off our car at our home. It’s rare to find a mechanic who consistently delivers quality work and customer care.
