Laci Smith: Dr Richardson and his team are absolutely fantastic. The whole staff was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel at ease. Dr Richardson took extra time to answer my questions and did a thorough exam. Kimberly the hygienist was excellent and gave me one of the best cleanings I have ever had. Highly recommend this practice.

Erica Thornton: Going to the dentist at McRae isn’t usually something people get excited about—but this place is different! My dentist was so kind, patient, and gentle, I felt completely at ease the whole time. They truly treat you like family here, and that makes all the difference. Shoutout to Sheena, the VA coordinator—she’s always happy, cheerful, and her energy lights up the room! From start to finish, the experience was smooth and positive. I’ve already recommended this office to a few friends, and I’ll keep spreading the word. If you want great care with great vibes, this is the spot!

HUAQIN XIA: My spouse and I switched to this dental clinic about two years ago. One common pattern we noticed is that every new patient is required to undergo a gum treatment. Initially, we thought it was fine, and we certainly spent a considerable amount of money on it. However, after the treatment, we didn’t see significant improvement in our dental health. It seems like this is a standard procedure for all new patients. The front desk staff is quite friendly, which is appreciated. However, the hygienist who did my cleaning was not my favorite. She made my condition sound much worse than it probably was, and I followed her recommendations, but unfortunately, I saw no improvement. Interestingly, after a while, she stopped recommending further gum treatments and instead referred me to another hygienist for my cleanings. I noticed that the second hygienist did a much better and more thorough job compared to the first one. I also had a filling done, which caused severe pain afterward. At one point, I couldn’t even chew on that side. Later, I realized the issue was due to improper shaping of the filling. I went back to have it adjusted, which helped slightly, but I still ended up avoiding chewing on that side for almost six months.

Lakshani Perera: I’ve been a customer since 2021. I have paid thousand a of dollars to these people even with my insurance. When I couldnt find a ride on time to my 9 am appointment , I called them and said I’ll be late 8 min. Instead of 9. 08 I was there at 9.15. They cancelled my appointment without telling me and charged me $50. Still in surprise how they treat their 4 year old customers. That $50 will be my last payment for Athens Smiles.

Jenni Weath: Genuinely compassionate. They constantly ask if I’m doing okay throughout the entire process with the exception of when they tell me what my treatment plan costs. If anyone would have asked me at that point I would have replied “no I’m not doing ok!” But you get what you pay for! The care they provide is outstanding and thorough with a very knowledgeable staff!

Gabbie Clack: Best Dental Experience Ever! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They made check-in a breeze and answered all my questions with a smile. The dental assistant was amazing, professional, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time when having a wisdom tooth removed. Truly exceptional! She took the time to explain everything. The dentist was gentle yet thorough, and made what could have been a stressful visit feel easy and pain-free. This office sets the bar high for dental care, and I’m so grateful to have found such a wonderful team. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch service and a great experience!

MJ Yaas: After seeing my mother struggle with periodontal issues my whole life, culminating in multiple extractions, I have been going through an extended dental journey to ensure I dont end up in the same boat. I recently transferred my care to Dr. Nelms practice, and I could not be happier. The office itself is clean, comfortable, and modern and it is clear that the employees there enjoy their working environment. They made time to ensure I was comfortable at every stage of thee process, they stopped to make sure I had enough water/air/breaks in between stretches of treatment, and Dr. Nelms was exceptionally gentle. She made sure the numbing shot didnt go into my sinuses and down the back of my throat and that I was properly numbed before beginning her procedure making my two front teeth look beautiful and even again. If youre looking for a dental team who cares about their patients well being and a dentist with an artful eye and a compassionate practice, look no further.

Mia C: our first visit there, my daughter has really bad anxiety when it comes to doctors/dentist offices and they were so kind and slow with her. they took their time to try keeping her from freaking out, she did freak a bit towards the end but that was expected, but even then they were so understanding. they took their time to explain everything to us and stayed with us until we were done asking questions. we’re first time parents with a 2 year old, we’ve seen 3 other dentist and this is the first office that not only we but our daughter has liked. we’ll definitely be staying with them.
