5 /5 Sugrbox Chef Dolie of Dolie’s Vegan Cuisine Sugrbox: I honestly don’t understand any of these negative reviews. I guess you can say that I am a fairly newer customer. But I’ve been going to the restaurant faithfully now for the past several months. Each and every time I am greeted with a big smile!! The women behind the counter (there are two different ones) they smile and immediately make me feel like I am family. Most often when I come I get the egusi (prepared with no meat/dairy products as I’m vegan. Don’t judge me. This is my cheat meal.) it’s always absolutely delicious. If I ask to taste something they do so without hesitation. Very patient too I might add because sometimes it takes me time to decide what I want. I often call my son to show him what they have on the menu for the day. I am Haitian. And while Haitian cuisine is my favorite, I am no stranger to a plethora of different African cuisines. Mama Put always has me licking my fingers and elbows. This is why I’m so confused by some of these reviews. And when I say delicious, I mean I can’t even wait til I get home. The food is eaten completely in the car and I am wiping my mouth before I pull up to my home. And I live nearby!! The egusi is my favorite. But the spinach she makes me is omg too!! I have taken my very American friends and they loved it all too!! Food on point. Warm and welcoming environment. No issue when we dined there and asked for take out containers as another reviewer complained about. Very sweet. Very kind. And no one is paying me for this review. This is just my experience and I’m being truthful. If they tried to pay me though I’d take the food instead!! And they give a good amount of food. Not skimpy. I’m greedy and eat a lot!! Lol Thank you Mama Put for always making me feel like family when I come visit. Asé!!
