5 /5 P Gypsy: This was our first time here (May 16, 2024)under this owner, Miss Becky. We had a late lunch so it was not busy. My husband and I both had the country fried steak. I have never have one so thick, crispy, and tender you could cut it with a spoon. And HUGE! Two of them per plate served with two sides and bread for just $12.99.
Our server, Gina, was super nice and attentive. I told her that the garlic in the mashed potatoes tasted scorched and she offered several times to bring us something else, but I insisted it wasn’t that bad. I only thought Miss Becky might want to know.
All of their food is homemade from the stump up. Right down to the fried okra. It doesn’t come in frozen then dumped into a fryer. It’s hand breaded. Who does that these days? Miss Becky, that’s who! I can’t wait to go back on a weekend night for her prime rib!
