2 /5 J Durham: I went here for lunch by myself at about 11:30am on Wednesday, 10.22.25 and sat in a booth on the left side of the restaurant facing the windows and ordered a Cuban sandwich requesting it without mayonnaise. The sandwich came with fries and I asked for a glass of water. I was one of two customers in the place at that time.
When the plate of food came out it smelled good and looked good, but upon my first bite into the sandwich I was surprised the meat was still pretty cold and it was slathered with mayonnaise.
I’m not the kind that complains, so I ate as much as I could of the sandwich because I was really hungry and had some of the fries. The fries were good and cooked just right. They got that part correct.
It was very disappointing as I love a good Cuban sandwich. I had one of the best I’ve ever had at the Hush restaurant in Clayton, Ga. recently. This restaurant should take a lesson from them on how to make one that says, “We know what we’re doing and care about the quality of our food!.”
I gave them 2 stars overall because it wasn’t busy and they still didn’t get my order right or make a good Cuban sandwich when it’s a Cuban restaurant, but they did get the fries right and the service was decent.
