5 /5 Kate Butler: *FYI: The restaurant is closed for now because Mrs. Polks son was recently diagnosed with cancer. Shes taking this time to take care of her son and his family. I will try to update when they reopen.*
I absolutely love this place! I try to eat there at least once a week or every other week. The food is fresh, tastes amazing, good quality, and is the best authentic Korean food Ive had! (and Ive eaten at Korean spots in Atlanta, Savannah, and Pooler, so thats saying something!) Mrs. Polk, the owner, is the sweetest lady youll ever meet and she genuinely enjoys serving Pembroke. Do not expect to eat here for cheap, this is not McDonalds. Expect to pay somewhere around $20 a person (after tip) depending on what you get. However, the portions are huge so you will likely have leftovers or can share a plate. Anyone who is picky or nervous about trying new food, I recommend the beef bulgogi (shown in attached picture), which is just marinated beef. Everyone I know loves it! My favorites are the fried dumplings (best Ive ever had), gimbap, stir fried noodles, tteokbokki, and the beef bimbimbap. Their side dishes are the best too! Ive turned my whole picky family onto Korean food! Definitely stop by and support a small, local business!
