3 /5 Deborah Pratt: This place was recommended by a co-worker. There were kids manning the counter and serving. The restaurant was not crowded for a Friday around 3:15 p. m., but we waited for a good while just to get the order in. I ordered Coke and got tea. I wanted the salmon, but they were out. I ordered the fried chicken instead. The server said she thought it came with 3 pieces, but it was only 2. Got a thigh and drumstick with black-eyed peas and okra and tomatoes. I added coleslaw. My Wife got fried Perch with macaroni and cheese and green beans. We both got cornbread. We got our food at 4. Both the fish and chicken were not flavorful and both tasted as though they were cooked in old grease. I did like the okra and tomatoes, but that was it out of all of our selections. We wanted to love this place and come back again, but that was the case. It was expensive for the food and experience.
