5 /5 Debra Silbar: My husband and I were in town for a concert and decided to try Husk. We sat in the main dinning room upstairs which was stunning yet cozy, even with this large room they were able to make it feel intimate. We started with a hibiscus infused old-fashioned which may sound odd, but the subtle floral infusion turned a classic cocktail into something truly special.. We shared the coal fired chicken, which may sound simple, but the sauce and side made it a wonderful combination. The shrimp and grits was a bit too rich for me but my husband thought it was some of the best he’s had.
What really made the evening was our server Kelly. His knowledge of the menu, wine, and cocktail list was exceptional. It was like having a pairing dinner. He introduced us to some wines that we would not have considered. The highlight was desert. Kelly suggested an apple brandy to accompany the cheesecake with an amazing crust, topped with fresh cream and poached pears. The pears, chessecake and brandy combo was the perfect ending to our meal. We can’t wait to return on our next visit and will definitely ask for Kelly.
