Wendy Oberkirch I posted a previous review and was contacted by Mr. McIlvane the very next day. He was unhappy about the review and wanted it removed, stating "Id hate to put your husbands business out there". Feeling intimidated, I removed the review. Im frustrated that I allowed myself to be bullied, so I am going to post my review again. We hired Mr. MCIlvane to represent my husband regarding a non-criminal issue. My husband advised Mr. McIlvane that I was to be his point of contact. Reaching Mr. McIlvane proved to be very difficult and I felt he was not communicating with us regarding the case. I reached his Assistant, and expressed my concerns that perhaps he was too busy to handle our case. THAT interaction prompted contact from Mr.McIlvane. During that interaction. he advised me that he had reached out to my husband (likely via email my husband rarely checks) and advised me that I should speak to my husband for an update. The reason my husband made me the point of contact is because he cant take personal calls during the day and did not check his email frequently, so we did not want to miss out on any updates. The last update I received from him was in November of 2022. That was it, no more communication from him after that until the review was posted. He basically abandoned us, giving NO further updates that I am aware of, and Never calling UNTIL a couple of years had passed and I wrote the negative review. Then he called just to threaten to put my husbands "information out there" if I did not remove the review. Do what you need to do Mr. McIlvane, but threatening to release clients personal, non-public information because you were upset at being called out publicly is both shameful and unethical. Also, DO NOT call myself or my husband regarding this matter! We do not wish to be harrassed or intimidated because you failed to communicate appropriately with a client.
