Sydnie Seckinger If you need a part replacement or install, this might be your guy. If you need a knowledgeable mechanic to solve a real problem, Id save your money and go elsewhere. We brought in our 2014 Accord last year for a check engine light. We had already replaced the O2 Sensors that were causing the code. He insisted that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced, an $800 part, and the O2 sensors needed to be replaced again, even though they were brand new. We did the work as the shop had good reviews and was recommended. Took the car home and the light came back on the next day. Took the car back, the wife greeted me with a "what did you do to it?" and kept insisting that the car had not been maintained well and that was now the issue. I get it fully serviced and inspected every 5,000 miles, so that was certainly not the case. We left the car there for 3 weeks and he never found the issue with it or was able to fix it. Just kept recommending that we keep replacing this part and that part. Emissions rolls around again, so we tried a new mechanic, specializing in Japanese imports. Turns out it just needed a software update. We paid this business over $1200 and I really do not appreciate any mechanic who will take advantage of paying customers. If you dont know what the issue is, own it and send us down the road instead of wasting everyones time and my money. EDITED TO REPLY: The check engine light, with the *same code* as before was still on AFTER the “repairs” were made. Which is why it was brought back in the first place. The light has been on since. We picked up our car because you had it for a month and the light was still on. We brought it in to fix the check engine light. It was not fixed. You didn’t charge for a diagnostic because you couldn’t diagnose it. Period. End of story.

Drew Robinson They have cost me 12k since last year fixing on my truck which has a New Engine. Everytime they fix something it breaks again and I end up with more problems. I took my truck to them and the new engine had been set in it but not hooked up and every since I picked my truck up something goes wrong with it that they have messed with and causes more problems. The last thing was they replaced a oil cooler and it just went out again so I took it to another mechanic and he said that the oil cooler has not been changed. So I paid them for nothing. Now that the new mechanic is looking over everything, hes now telling me all the things that they have charged me for fixing hasnt been touched. Never make the mistake Ive made with these folks!!!!!

Stacy Morris I have used Carter’s for well over 10 years now. He has always done exceptional work and has always taken care of me. The last time he serviced my vehicle, the caliper we bought failed. I was super angry thinking I would have to pay full price for a problem he had just fixed. Scott Barrow Carters Auto Service is an honest and dependable automotive repair shop. Two mechanics work here, one of which is the owner. Carters does great work at a reasonable price. They have even advised when I could easily do something myself. They diagnose the real problem and repair it. They dont look for added problems or repair items that dont need it. They are friendly. I have never had to take a car to them for the same problem twice. They fix it right the first time.

Brenda Word No customer service! Went to garage and asked a good time to bring in and wait for tune-up. Was told to be there the next week 1st thing. They opened after 9:00 AM and was then told "had lots of cars dropped off the day before, would be 3-4 hours wait" so dont bother making arrangements - they dont honor their word!

Alan Christian Is there such a thing as an "honest mechanic?" Most people dont normally think so. I was given the recommendation to take one of my vehicles to Randy at Modern Auto by a family member. I was complaining about the auto repair place that is literally next door to my house. I took my truck there to have some work done and I was treated like nothing but a number. The receptionist was fine, but I asked the two guys behind the counter if they were the owners, and they grunted at me and seemed put out they had to talk to a customer. I spent about $3k with them. They did ok on the work, but I wont go back because if I feel like they dont care about me as a person and customer, I will go somewhere else. Modern Auto is an hour from me. Randy took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my vehicle, and what he recommened be done, and also what didnt need to be done. He treated me like he cared about my business, me vehicle, and me as a person. I ended up driving back over to have him work on another vehicle for me. Excellent work, good price, good for their word, responsive and communicate well. I left their business with a smile on my face because I was reminded what it is like to go to a place that cares about you..... I highly recommend Randy, Nate and Modern Auto. Michelle Westgate Save yourself time & aggravation, DONT take your car here! I bought a used Toyota Avalon & was told the upper control arm needed to be replaced. When my husband dropped it off they said give them 2 days theyd call w/quote. They never called, we had to keep calling. Almost a wk later we were told they thought it might be a bolt. So they were ordering the bolt 1st so itd save us money. Almost another wk later. Us calling them again, they told us it was the upper control arm. And itd be a $3500 job but unfortunately a job they were unable to do there. Then charged me $230 for the bolt and labor and diagnosing the problem (when we already told them the problem when we dropped it off. If they knew they didnt do front end work when we dropped it off, why did they accept it...I ended up towing it to another mechanic who fixed it for $275. They got some kind of scam going on here ...

Nissa If I could give 0 stars I would. Brought my car in for a power steering leak but instead needed new belt & hub on driver side. Paid over $700 for it to be fixed & it still sounds like the hub needs to be replaced on the same side!! RIDICULOUS!!! This place sucks I dont care what anyone says! A few years ago brought my Uncles truck in & couldnt afford to fix it well when they brought the truck back to our house, they didnt bother putting the parts they took off back together!! That should of been my 1st sign. You can say you been in business for 10, 20, 50yrs...but that dont mean you got all the proper knowledge, skills, hands on practice or even up to date certifications to be a good damn mechanic! * No I definitely have the right place & I do not provide my information online and/or through reviews. Also, there’s no way I would bring my vehicle back to the same shop that failed to fix the problem the 1st time. You would more then likely charge me again for another diagnostic so you can find your own mistake. No thank you. The 1 star review is here for a reason. I will not be returning.

Angel Calderon My car was driving weird so I drove to the closest repair shop and they were amazing. The owner, Rohan, told me I needed a CV-axle and gave me a great price. I was in and out of there within an hour. They are now my regular mechanic and I take my car to them whenever I have any problems.

doug ritter Horrid. Took my car in because it kept dying on me WHILE driving. They replaced the alternator. The car kept dying on my, on the interstate while driving 70 mph. I took it back and they tightened things and said they fixed it. Guess what, it did it again and I took it to another shop. They showed me where the alternator had been JB welded together and would not hold. I called RW General and told them what was going on and that someone had put a welded alternator on my car. I was told basically there was nothing they could do because they did the work. Thats fine. Be ready to see a big Digital Mobile Billboard running around Douglasville with a picture of how the alternator the put in my car looks and how ones supposed to look. Absolute joke of a shop. And Ive done business with them before. Never take your car here. You may end up dead.

Tammy Grover Save your self some time by just taking your vehicle elsewhere maybe I should have read the reviews before or turned around when I seem two unhappy customers upon arriving. I had my jeep serviced for two brakes and two rotors one caliper I was charged for 5 brake rotors took it back and Roland corrected it 1 week later there’s smoke and bad smells I go back again it was blamed on the part replaced the part free of charge I leave two days later steering wheel start shaking uncontrollably all lug nuts stripped /damaged hub cap came off which cost more to repair. not sure if they are incompetent in their work or what when I called I was told to bring back again for wheel blanching save your self some time and seek service elsewhere the quality of work is trash here. All of this happend in the matter of two weeks safe to say I went elsewhere to have things fixed that this shop messed up

Jennifer Rosado I bought a tire here yesterday for $65 for my spare vehicle because I was going out of town and not even an hour into my five hour trip my tire light came on immediately pulled over that tire was flat. We had to put air start driving 30 minutes later and somebody has to help us and we were able to get a can of fix the flat for $22 and at that point I did call Roland here at the shop And he advised me when I get back in town Tuesday I can come back. Well, I had to text him Because the third time it happened, it was Just not right and did not sit well with me that I just bought this tire and it keeps doing this so he did refund me my money without any hesitation and told me to please go get a new tire because it was not safe to drive like that. Any other shop would have said it’s not my problem. It is a used tire, but he actually gave me my money back and so therefore, I’m gonna give five stars.!!!!

Sewell Robert (Austin) Great body work on my 2006 Dodge Stratus. After my sons little "fender bender," we did not think the car was salvageable. My trusted mechanic referred me to Autotech. After they inspected the car, they gave me a great quote. Ive used other major brands (Maaco/Abra) but they were expensive (especially when paying out-of-pocket). Autotech Collision was flexible and there pricing was MUCH cheaper than the competition (nearly 30% cheaper). The quality of work was phenomenal. At a glance, most of the bad reviews seem to be related to towing. While I cant speak to the towing rating, the quality of auto-body work is 5 Star. I would highly recommended Autotech Collison to anyone in need of auto-body work !

Lem Moore Super smooth and fast transaction! I was informed by another tow company they specialize transporting Mercedes Benz or vehicles with all wheel drive or if you do not have a key. They were able to transport my car from Douglasville to McDonough on roller skates without a hiccup. My man Chad! Who I’ve never met before was super cool!..... almost like I have known him for years. Lol!.... In 20 minutes he pulled up and he was out! over the phone, I closed out my tab with Miss Amy....And the rest was history! Thx ACT!!

I brought my car in to have the front bumper replaced, and was **never told** it would cost an additional $1,500–$2,000 to have it painted. I was in constant contact with Juan (owners son), and I totally feel as if he took advantage of me. When I arrived to pick my car up and saw that UGLY bumper, I was floored! And oh, he was VERY apologetic for "not telling me" the bumper came primed AFTER Id already paid them $1,100, but made zero effort, ZERO attempt to make it right and retain my business. He had the nerve to say out of his mouth, "Maam, we wanted to do our best to save you money and get your back to you as soon as possible." What??!! I am no dummy. I know what primed means. I know that many exterior car part replacements come primed, which is why I texted Juan while they still had my car to request a quote to replace my passenger-side mirror and SPECIFICALLY asked for a bottom line that includes the cost to paint it which, by the way, was a ridiculous amount! He actually tried to tell me it was that expensive because they have to program it. Goodbye! What hurts even more is that I truly believe I was treated differently — and unfairly — because I came in alone as a woman. I had taken my car here once before in 2024, but that time my ex-husband was with me. The difference was night and day: the communication was clear, the pricing was fair, and I felt respected. This time, I felt dismissed and misled, like I wasn’t taken seriously or worthy of the same transparency. No one should be made to feel like they’re being taken advantage of because of their gender. I trusted this shop, and now I feel completely betrayed. Ladies, beware. Spend your hard-earned money at an auto shop that sees you, respects you, and wont prey on your ignorance or your wallet. The Marv I had a great experience with Danos Automotives, a local automotive service company that specializes in repairing and maintaining all kinds of vehicles. They were very professional, friendly, and efficient. They did a courtesy car inspection in less than an hour and politely refused to take any money for it.
