2 /5 Lili Todd: I’ve been a loyal member here for 4 years and have always had great experiences—until recently. I arrived about 5 minutes late for a Pilates class and completely understand giving priority to waitlisted members. However, there was an open reformer and I was still refused entry. In the past, I’ve been allowed to join when there was availability, so the inconsistency was frustrating.
What was most disappointing was how the instructor handled it—she was unnecessarily rude and dismissive, which left me feeling unwelcome. As a fitness instructor myself, I value clear communication and professionalism, and unfortunately, that was not the case here. I would never handle a situation like this because you never know what people are going through, and someone’s fitness journey can be very sensitive. I drove across town for this class and would not have come if I had known I wouldn’t be able to join. I won’t be taking classes with this instructor again, but hope the studio addresses this so other members don’t have the same experience.
