    none11ification: Great open space but the music really REALLY SUCKS!! Its turned up loud as hell when no listens to it anyway, and you have to hear the same Dua Lipa song followed by Mr. Blue Sky by ELO back to back every 30 mins or some other crap on repeat that is screaming "hey I have crap taste in club music" instead of anything remotely workout motivating. Turn if down, off, or figure out what channel MOD Pizza has it on because their radio actually rocks.

    Alesia Hughes: I love coming to the YMCA at this location. Overall, Ive have had a great experience, the facilities are clean, the equipment is solid, and the community vibe is welcoming. However, today, I had an off experience recently that I feel is worth mentioning from a yoga instructor assuming the class starts at 11am. I was in one of the rooms about to cool down stretch, not realizing a yoga class was about to start, I didnt see a sign (could have been on the open door back side), lights were on, and people (3 ppl) were scattered around casually, stretching, one facing the back mirror. I found some space on the side. Then a woman came in and sat down at the other mirror in the front,, she glared at me while I was standing, when I asked if this was a class, she just said “yeah” no courtesy or possibly saying, Ms. are you participating in this yoga session?" She wasnt very nice by any means. Not in her tone or body language. I said “my bad,” grabbed the mat and proceeded to walk out. She asked someone else (the person facing the mirror in the back who had dumbells and was stretching) if they were doing yoga and they said no, but and that they was going to sit there and wait. While it wasn’t the worst situation, it did rub me the wrong way. A little more warmth or better communication would’ve gone a long way. I still enjoy coming here, but I hope the instructors will remember that kindness and communication goes a long way. You never know what people are going through. Kindness matters.

    Alison Maurer: CrossFit Motiv8 is by far the best gym in the area! Great schedule, clean, nice bathrooms with a huge shower, air conditioning and the community is the cherry on top! The new owner, Natalie, is incredible putting the members first and is always working on ways to make the gym better!! The members here are family, always encouraging one another. The programming is challenging and members compete often in local and national competitions. There is a competitors class Saturday mornings that help get you competition ready. Highly recommend!!

    Andrew Allenpina: The kid that manages the golf cart and sits at the gate went above and beyond to ensure that my kids could have their soccer balls pumped up before practice. He checked the sheds and even went into the Church to get a pump for us. Such a good guy.

    Steve C: Anytime Fitness in Martinez is my home away from home! I go every day now that Im retired, and my health benefits have been very noticeable. The gym is large enough that I can get a full workout every day, with cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, and mats for yoga, ab-work and stretching. The gym is kept clean and organized by the staff, who are friendly and helpful. Sarah, the manager, and Devin, the trainer, fix equipment issues and answer questions when they arise. This is a great gym! Ive been a member here 15+ years, and Ive been retired more than five years.

    J C: My name is Joey and I visited from out of town to this location this evening on the 16th of Oct. I used to consult companies and their day-to-day operations, and most of all their employees. Tonight I encountered a young man named "Ima". Im beyond impressed with this young man. His costumer service skills were absolutely amazing, and you could tell he was happy... Happy employees with positive attitudes are a rarity in this day and age, especially with the younger generation. If I started a company that required my employees to interact with the public, Id recruit this young man in a heart beat. Gravitating personalities in business is a superweapon. Congrats Planet Fitness, you got one. I highly recommend this location just based off my interaction with Ima.

    jhanzaib khan: Gym is alright BUT the people at the front desk who scan CAC (the old lady with grey hairs and the young white guy with black hairs and beard) have a TERRIBLE attitude. They are always in a bad mood and act like TSA agents with CAC scans (TSA agents are actually far more valuable and justified with their not so welcoming attitude) i get this it the ONLY place where they can and have ever exercised authority but they can do still do it by being civil humans and atleast trying to display manners.

    M Ramirez: The Fitness Corner is a supportive community that has kept me accountable to my workouts. Gina provides support, calls me out when she knows I can go heavier on weights but also adapts exercises to accommodate my injuries. She offers encouragement and ensures proper form. The welcoming environment and Gina’s personality makes working out fun and helps me maintain consistency. Classes are a great diversity of boxing and weights or cardio. On days that life and work have me stressed, I can take it out on the bag and always leave in a better mood. I also love the 5am class because it means I have no excuse and get my workout done as soon as I wake up. 60 minute classes mean I’m not spending hours in the gym, trying to figure out what machine is open or what exercise to do next - Gina has that planned and it’s always a great workout and balance. It was also very easy to pickup the numbers to associated punches. Month three and I’m loving it.

    Ivaylo Benov: I mostly come here for their indoor running track, which is pretty good. The AC (typically set at 70-72F) at the track helps a lot on those hot and humid summer days. The staff is courteous and most of the patrons are polite and keep out of the way of the runners. Overall, I recommend this place.
