allison dupree I had an amazing experience today with Skylar & the other staff members today. Everyone was friendly and genuine. They were busy and had lots of customers of all ages. I had an extraction today and it was so FAST& little to no pain. I was nervous because I hate going to the dentist but this experience was great. Definitely recommend just make sure you go early & have a clear day.

Leahs calm and friendly attitude helped me ease my nerves prior to seeing Dr. Cook. Ceil Cook Very professional and knowledgeable office! I just changed dental offices to Family Dental Health. Bri, the hygienist was very personable and did a nice job on cleaning my teeth. Dr. Cook was very thorough in his examination. I had been experiencing problems with one tooth, which I had asked my previous dentist about. Dr. Cook found that I had a crack in that tooth that had been undetected by the other dentist. It is a blessing to know what the problem was and to know that he can easily fix within the month. I would highly recommend Family Dental Health!

Kimberly Davis Highly recommend using them for your childs dental needs! The entire staff from the moment you walk through the door is welcoming, friendly which makes the kiddos less anxious, in my opinion. They listen to your concerns, are specific to each childs needs, patient if one is upset and scared and does a fantastic job cleaning and catching areas needing addressing. The kids get their own goody bag and a gold token for a toy of their choice at the end. They love that part!! Give them a try. You wont regret it!

Sarah Tau The wait was long, but it could be from the after school rush this week. I dont mind waiting, thankful for a quick cleaning, making it easy and effortless for my child. The attention to details and questions asked are helpful and Dr. Obebe is always kind. He takes initiative when asked about things, especially related to children on different medications so we can protect their adult teeth as much as possible. We waited for sealants yesterday as well, but the staff is always friendly as we wait and the movies, books and coloring books and the coins for the kids to get a fun treat always make their days better. Thank you to everyone who helped our visit this week!

Sarah Mason This was my first of many appointments and it wasnt too bad! The assistant, Kenya (probably spelled wrong) was absolutely fantastic! Im a baby about a dentist and she was very reassuring and calming. Dr. C was efficient during the visit but answered all my questions (Ill write any future questions down, tho). The only negative I had was the freezing temp of the waiting room (I was provided a blanket when I went to the back). Reception was friendly and answered my questions, too. I will be going back...many times...

Charmaine Thompson I cannot sing high enough praises about the staff at this facility. The receptionist was very kind and attentive. She was able to squeeze me in after experiencing a dental emergency and listened attentively when I explained my symptoms so I did not have to repeat myself. Addison has perfect bedside manner and walked me through each step. He was thorough in explaining everything in detail and making sure I was comfortable. Dr C was amazing. Down to earth and was clear and precise about her suggested treatment plan. The facility is clean and very modern on the inside.

Kamryn Tillman This was my first visit at this office so I was a little nervous but I had a great experience. Rachel cleaned my teeth and she did an amazing job, she was very gentle and thorough. I greatly appreciated how she explained everything to me in layman’s terms without seeming condescending. She was very professional while also being friendly. We even had a couple laughs. The vibe in her room was very comfy and lighthearted, I will definitely be coming back. Getting your teeth cleaned isn’t very pleasant but I can tell that she tries her hardest to make it as pleasant as possible, and she did!

The staff makes you feel so welcome and they speak encouraging words to make you feel comfortable. I will most definitely continue to receive my dental work from Dr. Westmoreland. He is AWESOME!!

Monique Martinez Dr. Westmoreland and his staff is amazing. To start, they worked me in next day to take care of a discoloration on my tooth. After the exam, the front office staff was transparent about the cost. After I agreed to the cost, Dr. Westmoreland and his assistant went to work. I was super pleased at my new smile. I have much more dental work to get done, so I will be getting it done with Dr. Westmoreland.

I really appreciate the way they explain and educate me about my dental care and are accommodating to my scheduling needs. They are also exceptional with children, my 4 y/o was afraid of the dentist prior to switching to Westmoreland, they provided gentle and kind care for her and now she looks forward to going to the dentist. HONEY KAYLA Dr. Makerson’s office is an absolute joke. I had a 1:00 PM appointment, showed up early at 12:46—doors were locked. Came back at 1:00—still locked. I called, no answer. Eventually got someone on the phone who casually tells me they’re at lunch and won’t be back until 2:00. Then why was I scheduled for 1:00 in the first place? This was already a rescheduled appointment because they messed up the day before. I even left work early for this. No communication, no professionalism, and zero respect for people’s time. Dr. Makerson’s office is a disorganized, careless mess. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Jamie Ive been receiving EXCELLENT dental care/ maintenance here for a couple of years now. Initially, I chose Dr. Makerson because I was in need of a cosmetic procedure to enhance my smile and the Dentists that Id had previously, for DECADES, didnt seem confident that they could satisfactorily make the improvements I wanted. I was a bit skeptical when Dr. Makerson said that she could make those aestetic improvements, but I trusted her anyway. Well, it was part trust and part desperation! And boy, did Dr. Makerson do what no other Dentist could do?!... In my humble opinion. She gave me the most beautiful smile that matches whats in my heart. Dr. Makerson got EVERYthing right; the perfect symmetry, the perfect shape and correct color of my new teeth! She did a fantastic job and I will boast about it every time!

Follow up: just had a cleaning with Maddie and it was the best cleaning I’ve ever had. She’s super sweet and thorough!

Jennifer Riley Review of Dr. Tara Schafer – Dental College of Georgia i honestly don’t even know where to start. im not the type to write reviews but after everything that happened, i just cant stay quiet. we trusted dr. schafer and the team there to handle something that should’ve been routine and careful. instead, it turned into a total mess. stuff happened that shouldn’t have. things that don’t add up. and every time we tried to ask questions or understand what was going on, we got brushed off. or told something different than before. honestly felt like they were just covering themselves. records didn’t match up with what we were told. things weren’t explained until after they were already done. and for a patient with a serious medical history? that’s just not okay. it’s scary. then—when we pushed for answers, when we tried to make sense of it all—they cut us off. no more care. just like that. after everything. i’m exhausted. emotionally drained. and my kid deserves better. families deserve better. if you’re considering going here and your child has complex needs or health conditions, please please ask everything. get stuff in writing. triple check. don’t assume anything. i wish we had.

Ryan Boylan Evil, evil, evil institution. I have been getting bills from the Dental College of Georgia for two years straight and have been under the impression theyve been spam because the only line item on them has been "previously owed balance." Ive tried calling the phone number on the bills and no one has ever picked up. Recently I got a letter that Ive been sent to collections and finally got a working phone number through the collection agency. The woman I talked to said the phone number on their bills doesnt actually go through the their clinic, so no one at that phone number would have actually been able to answer my questions anyway. Now that I finally have the correct information that this is from a biopsy I had done two years ago (and wasnt told about by the oral surgeon who sent it in for me), the statute is past for me to submit the bill to my insurance. This is such an unethical way to practice business, to deliberately sow confusion by giving no information on services rendered and giving out a non-working phone number so not to have to deal with actual people. What an absolute disgrace.

Mjé I’ve been to Dr. Godbee several times and she has been nothing but kind! Getting dental work isn’t the most exciting process, however she makes you feel comfortable, answers questions without hesitation, and with a smile. I leave feeling better than I arrived. Deborah Johnson Dr. Godbee and her staff are very nice. But! What dentist knows a patient needs a root canal and is in severe pain and Let them leave their office appointment without giving them any medication. My mom always told me if I do or have done anything that was out of place then it was up to make it right and I must make this review right. First and far most I am publicly apologizing to Dr, Godbee. Got my first review of her. I was seen the other day by Dr. Godbee and I found out that I needed to have a root canal done. I was in so much pain and I wasnt given any medication. When Dr. Godbee read my review she called me after hours with an apology. On my visit she did asked me about pain medication, “I DID NOT” clearly explain myself; so not getting the pain medication I needed was “MY FAULT”. Not Dr. Godbee!!!! She has been calling to check on me, she has done everything in her power for me. And, Yes! I have to medication that I need.

Tiara Bennett I will never return to this clinic. I called last Monday to schedule an emergency appointment for Saturday the 26th. I was told there would be a $50 emergency fee and that everything else would be billed to my insurance. However, when I arrived, I was hit with nearly $400 in upfront charges — $50 for the emergency fee, $295 for an X-ray, and an additional out-of-pocket fee for the tooth extraction. To make matters worse, when I called back today to ask for clarification on their pricing, the young woman who answered the phone didn’t seem to know the fees and vaguely said, “I think tooth removals start at $400 per tooth.” I was so frustrated by the lack of professionalism and clarity that I hung up. This entire experience felt like a joke, and I will absolutely not be returning.

And they were the only service in Augusta that would pull my tooth the same day I walked in. The procedure was quick, and I felt well taken care of. I’m glad I gave them a chance!

H. Edward Jessie Was in town to host clients and had a dental emergency. The staff squeezed me in, worked with insurance, and Dr.Joidaz Gaines was a gem. He not only fixed the issue, he was polite and engaging and his staff was as well. I dont live in Augusta, but if I did, Gaines Dental would be my provider.

Robin Faulkner The 3-stars are only because the staff encountered has been pleasant; however, in terms of patient time management and product delivery it would be one star. Case in point, my mother has been awaiting a dental implant for the last 5-6 months that to date she has not receive. For appointments the waiting period is, at times, too long before the actual treatment begins. There is no regard for a patients time. Its been my personal experience of being placed in a treatment room with the feeling of being forgotten because thats how long I waited. Further, if it takes so long for their supplier to deliver dental implants perhaps they need a new one because it certainly doesnt benefit the patient. The risk is by the time the dental implant is delivered it may not fit because the teeth have shifted during the wait. Again, nice staff just wish they practiced better service delivery accountability.

Christina H We are a military family and I love this office! Both Dr. Kathy and Dr. Mike are great. They are always helpful, explain everything very well and I have never had billing issues with them. They have gotten me in multiple times for emergencies and have worked with me when my husband was deployed to allow my kids to come with me when I wasnt able to get a babysitter (I did ask before hand). I have had fillings, crowns and regular check ups for the last 4 years. They are a great office and I would recommend them 100%

Heidi Holladay I am incredibly disappointed with this place of service, brought my daughter in today and she was crying NOT uncontrollably, just like a nervous cry, cause she has anxiety. She’s done plenty of dentist appointments with nitrous and I called them morning off to let him know that she would be needing it and a Doctor Mike couldn’t even come in to see her or give us the decency to speak to us why he would not do her fillings. Just had his office manager come in and tell us that they would not be fulfilling her appointment today.Explained I needed to look into a place that would sedate her (not sure why I would do that if I haven’t needed to previously. Also told me he couldn’t have a difficult patient (he didn’t even come and see my daughter,she wasn’t causing a scene at all!) if you have anxiety STRAY AND STAY FARAWAY Dr Mike will have his team come tell you he can’t have a difficult patient. I took the day off of work. Biggest copout Dentist I’ve ever met. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

Tee Sanders Ive been going here for years after going to other dental providers and I believe they are the best. I only really have contact with Haydee, Emma, Ashley and Dr. Sterett are amazing along with the other staff I may see from time to time. Very professional and make their patients feel at home. Also, my teeth are a lot healthier because of their recommendations, guidance, and services. I would definitely recommend them. Also, if your looking for a faith based provider, they are your people as the music played in the dental office is WAFJ.
