Madeline C. Mulkey Ledford Our spiritual home for the last 4 years, there are so many good things to say about this community of believers. We love Decatur First, the congregation, the staff, and the vision to create the Beloved community.

Joy Jordanlake Such a warm and welcoming place! I absolutely love this congregation. They make everyone feel like they belong.

Randall Walters I have attended Northpoint ministries since 2003 and have attended three different campuses during that time. I started attending the Decatur City Church Nov 21. More artsy people live in this area of town. And I commend the leadership in using these talented people in worship. It is nice to be in a smaller campus than the other locations. I especially like that it is non denominational. People of all backgrounds are welcomed here. And they can get involved and serve without having to become a member. Some roles do require membership. Music is designed to appeal to young people. I love the preaching. And I have learned to appreciate the music. But I support the mission of the church to appeal to youths. And the music is the first point of interest for the young. I have written what I have written in response to some of the reviews. No church will or even can appeal to everyone. A couple of the reviews didn’t understand what this church is about. I could write a book on all the things I love about this church. I selected these few things to help enlighten you on a few misunderstood ideas and practices. Randall

Shannon plus 4 I visited this location as a service day for homeless individuals in this community with other agencies who participated across the state. The staff were very welcoming and supportive of the individuals who participated. The day was a humbling experience for all who took part. Great job, New Life Church. Continue to be the Beacon of Hope this community needs and shine your light on the needs of our rootless friends and neighbors. God Bless!

Joseph Murdock My wife (a UU) and I came for a Sunday service and were truly impressed in several ways. Greg and Emily are thoughtful, warm, and bright. A couple of the members of the congregation saw to it that we were welcome to return any time. If you are looking for a church with love, family and community, you have found it.

Paul Stoddard I was able to visit Resonate this morning (10:45 AM service) and was very happy to see a Biblically focused church (in the Decatur area, which is not easy) aimed at expository preaching and exegeting Scripture well. The head pastor didnt teach this morning, but Trey, one of the elders filled in. (I always appreciate lead pastors willing to allow others to stand behind the pulpit). This church loves to worship as well! I really loved the order of service, how you gave a moment between the initial worship and the announcements to turn around and meet some people, which did (hi to Seth and Sarah)! While I live too far from here to be involved in this community, which seems great, for anyone seeking a Gospel-centered church that is not twisting or rewriting Scripture to fit their feelings or their own narrative, I definitely recommend this as a solid church home. They desire to be disciples and impact their community for Jesus, while allowing the Gospel to change their hearts and not the other way around. And, while I have only visited once, anyone looking for a church home should visit multiple times to ensure its the best fit for you and your family. Thank you Trey for a great service and I will keep Resonate in my prayers as you all continue to pursue Kingdom growth. Love you all!

Chandrika Derricho Since visiting and joining the Covenant Church I have had a divine connection to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Pastor Quincy Lavelle Carswell II and First Lady April Carswell are amazing Holy Ghost filled man and woman of God. Pastor Marques is amazing as well. I have come to know and understand the Lord on another level and my life has been forever changed. I appreciate the entire Covenant family and going to this body of Christ truly makes me feel at home and connected. The Women’s Ministry is amazing and all ministries are open and welcoming. This is a great place of worship! Don’t think about it, stop by and connect with us. I’m honored to be a Covenant Partner!

Teval Oma Loved the ambiance and the priest/chaplain was welcoming and pleasant. Although I was attending the MLK Mass celebration, the Mass was spirit filled. Loved and enjoyed the visiting homilist and choir.

Walter Moore If you are looking for a Church home, this is the place to come. I have been a member for a decade, and I love this Church. The purpose of Briarlake Church is to help people experience meaningful life in Jesus Christ. Pastor Steve Tillis has done an awesome job in pursuing this purpose.

Tamanna Goware I love this church. I get peace here! It is easily visible in usual traffic. Right across the street from suburban plaza. Has great views.

Steven Sheffield Church needs to stay out of politics and focus on the teachings of Christ. This church is no exception, and is nothing but a voice for its lesbian clergy who twist the Bible to suit their sinful lifestyle. Drive by and have a look at all the virtue signaling. It’s despicable. Churches like this that promote “inclusivity” only include those who share their mindset, politics and worldview. I’m ashamed this is in my neighborhood.

Arun Gupta Whenever I come from India to stay with my daughter in Decatur, I enjoy my long walks on the Sycamore Dr, and when I pass by this beautiful church, it gives me a feeling of peace. I like the minimalist and simple architecture of the church and its peaceful location.

Scott Pierce Great vibes from entering to leaving. Pastor is a good honest man. I have been working at the church for years servicing the roofs and have gotten to know them pretty well. I pray blessings and Gods guidance to pastor, and congregation to be lead to a closer relationship with the one that gives us peace, hope, and courage to be more than what this world offers.

Dez Partlow-Greer Connect church ATL is my husband’s home church. We love Pastor Tez and his family. We don’t come often due to the distance from where we live, but if you are searching for a church in Decatur it’s a great option.

At Peace, I’ve not only learned from the messages, but found a church that helped me to understand my faith, my servant leadership, God’s call for community and partnership in our lives and so much more. Maegan F I absolutely love this church. I have been visiting for a while and decided to become a member a couple months ago. It has been the best thing for me. There is something here for all ages and all interests. There are so many ministries to be a part of. Pastor Hale is so wonderful. She is humble and teaches the word in a relatable way. Last Sunday was youth Sunday and the children did absolutely amazing. I love that there is also an ASL translator. My sister is hearing-impaired and I love that the church cares enough about the deaf community to have that resource.You Should definitely visit and if you cant visit definitely watch a live service online! -Maegan Fran
