5 /5 Randall Walters: I have attended Northpoint ministries since 2003 and have attended three different campuses during that time. I started attending the Decatur City Church Nov 21. More artsy people live in this area of town. And I commend the leadership in using these talented people in worship. It is nice to be in a smaller campus than the other locations. I especially like that it is non denominational. People of all backgrounds are welcomed here. And they can get involved and serve without having to become a member. Some roles do require membership. Music is designed to appeal to young people. I love the preaching. And I have learned to appreciate the music. But I support the mission of the church to appeal to youths. And the music is the first point of interest for the young. I have written what I have written in response to some of the reviews. No church will or even can appeal to everyone. A couple of the reviews didn’t understand what this church is about. I could write a book on all the things I love about this church. I selected these few things to help enlighten you on a few misunderstood ideas and practices. Randall
1 /5 Sonja: If you are looking to change your life, do not go to this church. They opened the service with a tribute to 90’s R&B. I could have gone back to the bar! Its terribly sad what they are claiming to do in Jesus name. This is where you go if you want to be lukewarm or hanging on the fence. TRUE ABOMINATION
5 /5 C Cole: I grew up attending a traditional Lutheran church and was turned off of church as a teenager. Upon moving to Atlanta I started attending Buckhead Church and grew to enjoy Andy Stanley sermons. Post Covid, I moved a little further out and got out of the habit of going to church. I started attending Decatur City occasionally. Eventually, I chose to volunteer and they were super welcoming. It has become a second family. This church specifically is much smaller than some of the other Northpoint churches. It gives you that smaller community church feeling while still giving you the options of the larger church. If you were looking for a small group, this is a great place to go. If you were looking for options for children and teens, this is a great church to go to. I love that they regularly have programs to engage people at all levels and frequently lean into sermons that are meant to engage non-believers. If you’re looking for a traditional service, this probably is not the best place, but I would give it a chance because you might be intrigued by something new. These videos are from a small Service they did to celebrate their volunteers recently during Christmas. They go all out with their decorations.
4 /5 A F: Enjoyed visiting here. It is a contemporary worship service in a smaller church setting which is a nice mix. They have live music, but stream the sermon (this is a North Point Ministries church). The only thing is parking can be somewhat of a challenge if youre not familiar where to go, but the traffic is definitely much less than that at larger nearby churches.
5 /5 Nikki Ussery: North Point community church with in unique venue. Traditional pews and pipe organ, but renovated with a modern touch. Music production rivals major concerts. Children’s area is first class and very clean and safe. Volunteers are amazing!

  • Resonate Church - Decatur
Paul Stoddard: I was able to visit Resonate this morning (10:45 AM service) and was very happy to see a Biblically focused church (in the Decatur area, which is not easy) aimed at expository preaching and exegeting Scripture well. The head pastor didnt teach this morning, but Trey, one of the elders filled in. (I always appreciate lead pastors willing to allow others to stand behind the pulpit). This church loves to worship as well! I really loved the order of service, how you gave a moment between the initial worship and the announcements to turn around and meet some people, which did (hi to Seth and Sarah)! While I live too far from here to be involved in this community, which seems great, for anyone seeking a Gospel-centered church that is not twisting or rewriting Scripture to fit their feelings or their own narrative, I definitely recommend this as a solid church home. They desire to be disciples and impact their community for Jesus, while allowing the Gospel to change their hearts and not the other way around. And, while I have only visited once, anyone looking for a church home should visit multiple times to ensure its the best fit for you and your family. Thank you Trey for a great service and I will keep Resonate in my prayers as you all continue to pursue Kingdom growth. Love you all!
