5 /5 C Cole: I grew up attending a traditional Lutheran church and was turned off of church as a teenager. Upon moving to Atlanta I started attending Buckhead Church and grew to enjoy Andy Stanley sermons. Post Covid, I moved a little further out and got out of the habit of going to church. I started attending Decatur City occasionally. Eventually, I chose to volunteer and they were super welcoming. It has become a second family. This church specifically is much smaller than some of the other Northpoint churches. It gives you that smaller community church feeling while still giving you the options of the larger church. If you were looking for a small group, this is a great place to go. If you were looking for options for children and teens, this is a great church to go to. I love that they regularly have programs to engage people at all levels and frequently lean into sermons that are meant to engage non-believers. If you’re looking for a traditional service, this probably is not the best place, but I would give it a chance because you might be intrigued by something new. These videos are from a small Service they did to celebrate their volunteers recently during Christmas. They go all out with their decorations.
