Miranda Ponder My husband received a letter dismissing his case and the state attempted to reopen it and charge him. Which was double jeopardy. We had a trash public defender who was obviously working with the state to railroad my husband. We hired Derek Law from Sexton & Moody. He got right on the case and was very knowledgeable about the laws. From the day he took the case, my husband did not have to say another word in court. He handled it. Our court date came and he presented the case and explained why the state could not charge him for a case that was already dismissed. The state tried to pull up some BS law and Derek shut it down. The judge ruled in our favor and the case was dismissed. I cant thank them enough. I would recommend this law firm. Now I will say one thing, they are very busy. Be patient with the return calls or emails. Other than that, I would recommend.

Josh Sexton I had a GREAT experience with this firm!
Derek Law is a substantial attorney. He took my case immediately and without hesitation. He helped me out, and got exactly what we wanted, and what he said he would get us from day one.
Despite that the case seemed to drag on due to the court system; he was always communicative, professional, and responded in a timely manner. He is very respectful, and understanding with what I needed, and when I needed it. He showed up, and did everything he said he would do and more.
Not to mention, he was in the process of getting married during all this chaos! If youve ever gotten married, you know, that alone is a lot to juggle!
Talk about commitment to his career, and his clients! I never felt like I wasnt a priority when I needed him. If I could give him and the firm 10 stars I would. Call Sexton & Moody, and be sure to get Derek Law if you can!
(my last name is just a coincidence, I am of no relation to the firm).
