2 /5 Zee Keepitcute: I sell new & gently used items online, setting my own prices on platforms like Poshmark and eBay. Checked out Uptown Cheapskate to see if it might be an easier reselling option, save myself the time of photographing and posting items.
When I walked in, the greeting was dry and unfriendly. I spent about 30 minutes browsing. The store itself was bright and well organized, and the selection was just ok. They have lots fast fashion to sort through though (Shein, Old Navy, Forever 21, & Target & Walmart brands).
Ultimately, I didn’t make a purchase. I was never asked if I could be helped, and witnessed the clerks being condescending to a seller. After reading a recent review (from KG) and seeing the business’s snarky, sarcastic response, it reinforced my initial impression. Customer experience clearly isn’t a priority here. Who knew secondhand store workers could be so oddly haughty. There are definitely better places (for me) to shop and sell, yall keep that.
