4 /5 Chelsea Johnston: My family took advantage of the free admission (as part of the Second Sunday program) and went to the William Root house. There’s a lot to see even though the ground and houses are not very large. If you are into Marietta or Civil War era history, then this is a great little place to visit. The museum has recently been updated with a lot of nice improvements. They have touch screens in most of the exhibits and a few small things for little kids to enjoy. Their gift shop was also very cute. I would definitely recommend a visit!
FYI:
-They do have a ramp and an outside elevator to get into the main levels of the buildings, but I did not see anything to help those with wheelchairs or strollers get to the second stories of these historic buildings.
-there is a parking lot, but it is rather small
