2 /5 Ayomide Akinsanya: It’s spring break, and I was excited to take my kids somewhere fun. After doing some research, I decided to check out Mountasia in Marietta. I called ahead to ask about tickets and any important information so I could prepare properly.
When I arrived, I was told I’d have to wait an hour because the go-karts were being gassed. No problem, I used the time to take a quick trip to the mall nearby. However, when I returned, ready for some fun with my kids, I was told I couldn’t get on the go-karts because I wasn’t wearing closed-toe shoes.
This was never mentioned during my initial call or when I arrived. If I had known, I absolutely would have picked up a pair of tennis shoes while I was at the mall. Unfortunately, there are no shoe rentals available on site, and I ended up missing out on making those special memories with my kids.
It was my first time visiting, and sadly, it wasn’t the experience I hoped for. Please do better in informing guests of important requirements like dress codes. It makes a big difference, especially for parents trying to create meaningful moments with their children.
